I have something very similar to the BodyGym, which I bought at T.J. Maxx a few years ago. I can't remember exactly what they called it, Pilates something, I think, but it was sold under the Danskin label. The main difference between it and the BodyGym is that mine doesn't have the black cord that connected the 2 hand loops to make a full circle, if that makes sense. It's been a while since I used it, but I think the idea behind it was that it was supposed to provide a reformer-type workout.
It's actually pretty sturdy, too. I've used it with the Mari Winsor w/o's and it seemed identical to her apparatus. If anyone orders the BodyGym, could you please report back? I'm especially curious about the dvd that comes with it. TIA! |

Old thread alert:
The Bodygym with Marie is playing again this morning on QVC. On sale for 39.98 plus 5 shipping. I'm thinking of getting this to put in my travel van. Any thoughts? Is it durable? Dumb? A waste?

OLD THREAD ALERT:
just saw this infomercial on the ICTV channel. Marie Osmond has a separate website now selling this item for about the same price - 2 payments of $19.99 + s/h and if you call 1-800-607-7379, you could get free shipping. comes with the bar, the band, 2 DVDs, access to online workouts, and a drawstring bag. and tape measure. LOL. www.bodygym.com i had Lifeline's version of this bar, and i used the gadget with Keli Roberts' ExerBar VHS workout by Spri. That is a really good workout. the ExerBar is made from metal, whereas Lifeline's version is made out of strong plastic and designed differently. there weren't a lot of DVDs or workouts back then, so i ended up donating the Lifeline gadget.
