Food Processor

I'm in the market for an inexpensive, easy to use, easy to clean food processor. Probably won't use every day but I plan to use it to make stuff like bread crumbs, hummus, black bean burgers, etc. Honestly, the most important part is that it's easy to clean and makes cooking easier. All suggestions welcome!

I really like my Cuisinart. I have had it for years. I had an Oster from Target that broke right away.

I have a KitchenAid and I don’t like it. I mainly use it for veggie prep and I’m hearing that the Cuisinart does better. With the KitchenAid, the veggies get stuck in the lid. Other than that though it’s been fine. It’s not too heavy.

I have an 8 cup. I actually use my Vitamix more for blended soups, but still use the Cuisinart a lot.

I just bought my son a Cuisinart for his birthday. He said he wanted a food processor and I figured why mess around with ones that break or don't work as well.

I got a Hamilton Beach after Cuisinart had a recall on it's blades and I had to wait about a year for a replacement. Recently I got a Nutribullet immersion blender that I use more.

I have been looking at a Breville that dices that is WAY out of my price range. I will either save up Amazon reward points for a VERY long time while I think about it, or buy a Cuisinart. The Breville is really heavy and I would have to leave it out on the counter. I don't really need one that high end. I saw it being used on the you tube channel."Well your World" and it works so easily.

I have a 3.5 cup KitchenAid, 8 cup Cuisinart, and an old school 12 cup Hamilton Beach with the motor on the side.

The small KA is good if I want to chop small amount of veg like onions or carrots, or pulse a can of beans. It is perfect for making small amount of salsa/dressings. It says 3.5 cup, but really only processes about 1/1.5 cup. It is not good for anything sticky or thick. In fact just watched QVC the other night and they were demo-ing a large KitchenAid food processor and it would not make hummus, she tried two machines and both stalled - she had canned beets, canned beans, olive oil, tahini, + salt, and blade would not move! Easy to clean, store it on kitchen shelf next to & above sink, within reach.

The Cuisinart I use for everything & most often - shredding, making oat flour, mixing ingredients for veg burgers, hummus, bean balls, etc. If making smaller amount of soup, sauce or something I just don't want to use my Vitamix for, I use the Cuisinart. Super easy to clean. I keep it on counter since it is used often.

The HB was passed down to me and I have used it for slicing & shredding large amounts of veg for salads & slaw, and for Christmas candy & cookie dough. I'm surprised it still works! Large & a hassle to clean & store.
