Other options:
1. Roku. There are plenty of apps to play your video (youtube, Cathe, BeachBody, etc). Most subscriptions have apps
2. Chromecast. It will cast from your phone to TV
3. Chromebook. A lightweight PC that's dedicated for your workouts... you can leave it in your workout room. Good for browsing and emails.

We love our Roku btw.

I've had good luck with Chromebooks. They are lightweight, too. Nice for travel.

Well, I was wrong. My ten year old Kindle did charge!

Boy howdy, I hear you about Apple being superior. I’m in love with my iPad. I’ve started calling it my Precious, lol.

Although I practice in one room 99% of the time, it would be nice to have a tablet for those nice summer days that I decide to take it outside, and/or have a portable option if I ever travel from home for more than a day.

I will definitely keep everyone posted once I've made my choice. A BIG THANK YOU to all who have provided feedback and personal experience; it is invaluable and very much appreciated!

Can anyone give me some recommendations or what to look for / avoid when shopping for one? One caveat: I don't want any Apple products. Here are some I found at Wal-Mart that seem decent and in my price range:

Any thoughts / tips / suggestion are welcome!
My daughter had the second one on your list (Lenovo M10) and liked it; it was lightweight and fast.

I'd avoid no-name/cheap tablets because they're slow with awful picture quality, and I haven't had good luck with Kindle Fire tablets either.
