That's where the decluttering check in came from?? That is hilarious!

it's true. this is why:

- when it was "slow, no buy, wise purchase challenge" check-in, people had difficulty sticking to it!
- we wanted to keep the check-in going.
- we noticed some VFers tried to stick to a policy of "I can acquire 'X' DVD if I get rid of 'Y' DVD" where the "Y" sometimes changed to a non-DVD item.
- The getting rid of "Y" became the prominent driver of the check-in

The history of things on VF is more interesting than actually doing the workouts!

I feel like I need to do this, though, because this past year I actually bought A LOT. I know with streaming workouts, apps--and even with the accumulated knowledge of doing videos for about 30 years enabling me to kind of design my own workouts on occasion--I do NOT need to buy new DVDs (or heaven forbid VHS but it's happened!). And yet like others mentioned, when I fear something is going out of print or when I have a gift card or discount code, I lose my mind.

I have 286 workouts on physical media. I also subscribe to FitFusion, do paper workouts, app workouts, use a rowing machine and stationary bike and run and walk outside, and yet I KEEP COLLECTING. Like, self, this is ENOUGH. Stop.

Haha! I was a frequent check in person on the decluttering and no/slow/wise buy check in threads. Alas, I stink at sticking to it, and probably joined Buzzer and Co. in completely trashing the purpose of the thread lol! But it was a great time had by all anyway .

I have accumulated so many dvds this year, but I'm proud to say I've given away more than I accumulated this year.

I don't remember who it was, but I remember some folks mentioned that they owned only 20 (gasp for real?)

Then others would mention owning thousands of workouts...not one thousand..but thousandS. I would have LOVED to look at those collections. That would be my favorite museum visit EVER!

Lol, that could’ve been me. I have always had a revolving door for workouts. For new ones to come in, old ones would have to leave. I only had room in my drawer for approximately 20…
