OT - Customer Service Nightmare
I did almost all my Christmas shopping online, including an order I placed with In the Company of Dogs for my sister and brother-in-law. I’ve ordered from them for years with no problems. I called them last week to check on my order because tracking shows it had not shipped although my credit card has been charged. The First Lady I spoke with did not understand me at all. No matter what I said, she answered, “Thank you and what credit card will you be using today?” I asked to speak to someone else and the second woman kept saying she didn’t have access to that information no matter what I asked. I asked to speak to someone else and the 3rd woman I talked to didn’t know much but said she thought the order had been held up because my billing address was different from the shipping address. I told her that’s because it’s a gift. And she also told me that one of the items in the order is no longer available. I asked why my credit card was charged when the items hadn’t shipped yet and one item wasn’t even available any longer. And, of course, she didn’t have access to that information. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry 😳
