Bodyweight Exercises/Weights?

Do both yield the same results? Thoughts?

Thanks

You know I been wanting to do an all body weight rotation for a few weeks but have been afraid of losing the muscle definition that I have now. I have PiYo and Buti Yoga and would love to use the 2 together.

The problem I have with body weight exercises is that the lower body exercises don't provide enough resistance, and the upper body ones provide too much (at least for me).

However, they're great if you don't have equipment available. They're also great if they're what you really enjoy.

I think it depends. If your talking push ups and pull ups I think you'd gain strength over a free weight routine? I for one do not chest press 70% or my body weight which is the amount of weight put through the arms on a press up! I still cannot do a single unassisted pull up despite being a devoted cathlete for years!
