Do you ever go back to your older videos?

I just asked about what to do with all these older VHS tapes and that got me to thinking. FOr those of you who have been doing this for years, do you ever go back to your older videos? On VHS or DVD. And why not if you don't? Or how come if you do?

I can understand getting sick of a routine after doing it for awhile, but after a couple years, it would be fairly fresh again if you are at the same fitness level. And we can't forever be trying to make ourselves MORE fit - you have to stabilize at some point.

I'm really curious! (as that also might help in deciding what I should do with all these videos!)

YES YES YES! I've dusted off a few oldies lately. I find they aren't as hard as i remember them being. A lot of them are fun to do b/c they take me back to a different season of my life... kind of like being with old friends... I am one who rarely jettisons a workout, though. I have often had sellers/traders remorse when I have.

Not only do I revisit some of my older workouts, I find that I repurchase many that I had previously traded away! This goes for workouts that I previously thought were too hard (I've built up strength and endurance over the years) as well as workouts that I previously thought were too easy (the older I get, the more I appreciate the "kinder, gentler" workouts, LOL!

Yes!! I started the TA Hipcentric Meta rotation and it reminded me of the old Jane Fonda workouts. So, I dug out my Jane Fonda Workout Challenge and have incorporated it into my rotation! I love it! It's a lot more fun than TA to me!!

I frequently use my older videos. After a little time apart, what's old is new again, but without the learning curve. It's amazing what you can remember! Frankly, I just prefer many of the older, more straightforward workouts, anyway.

I use some of my VHS workouts regularly. At least once a week. I learned the way that I should never part with them just because they're on VHS.

Definitely. The other night I did the FIRM's Cardio Step Mix. I've done the older Firm videos so many times I can pretty much recite them, though I must admit I don't use them as often as my numerous new ones.

I do! Only DVDs though. I no longer use a VCR, so I donated all my VHS tapes.

Some of my favorite workouts are the old Esquire videos(the ones with Marian Ramaikas). I love that they're all just under 30 mins. I will never get rid of them.

I also like most of the 29 Minute videos.

In fact, if I sit here long enough, I could probably name MORE older workouts that I love than newer ones.

For awhile I really used every workout in my collection - there were a couple that I didn't like - they just wouldn't be done with any sort of regularity. I rarely bought anything new - kept using the same ones.

And then . . . l found new instructors and acquired a ton of new workouts - mostly due to VF's influence. And I keep doing that - almost got sucked into buying Metamorphosis due to frenzy. So all of those older workouts - some on VHS - others on DVD - don't use - hardly ever but I don't want to part with them either. I have gone back a couple times to revisit - and I'm glad they are there. I could see myself lamenting that I got rid of them - I don't want that to happen!!!
