long-time journal keepers ~ what is the most interesting statistic that you've noticed and how did it help you reach your goal?

You might like the DietMinder. http://www.memoryminder.com/ They also have one called BodyMinder that focuses more on workouts. Go to the link and you can see what the pages look like. I think it might be right up your alley, especially if you prefer something you can take with you to places (as opposed to being online).

I use a mixture. Currently I created a monthly calendar that I created that is a blend of Streaming Colors and the old FIRM journal pages. I keep track of food/weight/length of workout and so forth on thedailyplate.com, both on my iPod Touch and laptop. They have a blog feature, but I haven't really used it there.

For specific workouts, e.g. CLX or Kettle Bell circuits, I started creating logs in excel to keep track of weights (I have a laptop next to me when I workout). I am finding that much easier for me to refer back to versus the paper journal I used to keep because each workout is on it's own worksheet.

Do you know what the difference between the original dp and Livestong is? I use dp (it's free) and I think Livestrong is fee based isn't it?

It's basically the same pages, and still free (although I did donate to Livestrong for the year) in a different wrapper.

You see a few more gee-gaws with the Livestrong wrapper and there are things like group dares (I'm currently daring myself to track my food daily), blogs and forums. It makes it a bit more "spark-like."

I like the 12 week idea and the layout does look cool, but, yes, since you'd need 4+ to get through the year it's really pricey (at least the sample makes it look like it's just one 12 week cycle)!
