I'm going to try Play It Again Sports to see what they've got. You never know; I might luck up and find that FIRM or Danskin padded bar.

If that doesn't work, I'll bite the bullet and buy a "real" bar that's shorter and find a pad to go with it. Thanks again for the responses.
