I just finished listening to "Falling" by TJ Newman. I think it took me all of two days to get through it -- I didn't want to put it down, but had to at times. Nice suspense!

This week I've read:

I'll Be You by Janelle Brown (good mystery thriller)
Never Let You Go by Chevy Stevens (another good mystery thriller)
This Time Tomorrow by Emma Straub (time travel story that I really couldn't get into)

I just finished The Heart of the Buddha's Teaching by Thich Nhat Hanh. Took me a couple weeks to read it since it's very deep and I had to read some sections a couple times to really grasp it.

I think I might like this one too! I was wondering if I read anything by Emily Straub before, so I looked her up; I had no idea her father is Peter Straub! That makes me even more interested, as I read a number of his books years ago.

On the other hand, I'm a huge Stephen King fan and have only read one book by his kids. (NOS4A2 by Joe Hill; I haven't read anything by Owen King.)

Oops, I have the wrong book! Sorry! I have to look up the title of the one I liked.

Eta: this is the one I liked:

Ha! I wondered if there was more than one book with the same title as the one I read had nothing to do with music. The one you did read sounds much more interesting than the one I read. I'll have to check it out!

I just started Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel García Márquez.

I'm also reading Home Work: A Memoir of My Hollywood Years
by Julie Andrews.

I finished White Bird by R. J. Palacio. It is short and I read it in one day.

I just finished “The Runaway Midwife” by Patricia Harmon. I was actually looking for a book from another author at the library and it wasn’t in…but this author was an alphabetical neighbor on the shelf. I just read the inside sleeve and it caught my interest.

I also checked out “The Midwife of Hope River” (same author, who apparently used to be a midwife herself) and “Let’s Get Physical” (which has been mentioned on here).

Last week I finished Take Your Breath Away by Linwood Barclay and this week am almost finished with Surviving Savannah by Patti Callahan. This is the first book I've read from this author. I like her writing style and will see what else the library has.

Yesterday I started reading Tami Hoag's Secrets to the Grave; I was annoyed to realize it was the second in a series! Although there are A LOT of references to the first book, it's stand-alone enough that it's still readable. It's just a 3-book series, so I will probably do 2-1-3.
