Beach Body = Overated. Never understood the love for them. The 3 I've tried: Shaun T, Tony (I love myself) Horton, and that Turbo Jam chick. All are annoying and overrated. Glad I never paid a cent for any of their overpriced systems.

BB has had a few good sets, IMHO.

I find many of the BB instructors more than annoying.

I don't think BeachBody will ever top the enormous success that they had with P90X. It was a game-changer in fitness systems.

And, even then, they were smart enough to have the "Less Tony" option for those of us who find him mostly unbearable.

They aren't as relevant because people saw that there was as strong market for at home and take-it-with-you exercise programs/workouts and got in on it. There are many quality workouts that are either free or much lower cost than BB.

I just drove from New Hampshire to Virginia and en route I binge-listened to the podcast The Dream. It's about MLMs. They didn't mention Beachbody in particular, but the whole MLM 'business model' is AWFUL. I knew it was awful before, but the podcast was still eye-opening.

By that, you mean Chalene Johnson? She may not be everyone's cuppa but her Turbo Jams and Turbo Fires were fun and motivating for some like me when they were first released what, 10 years ago? While I only bought a few of BB older "sets", I found that I got my moneys worth with each one. Fortunately we're all different, have different opinions and enjoy different things.

As far as supplements go, I never paid any attention to that side of BB business and didn't care one way or another how hard the sell was. I was only after the DVDs and could tune out their shakeology spiel.

They have a HUGE presence on social media. Many Facebook and instagram groups. I would say yes, they are still relevant.

Thanks for the info!

I don't do much social media, so I was unaware.

I wonder if the social media groups are comprised mostly of 'coaches' psyching each other up?
