No regular yoga class as a group went to CA for a retreat. Bummed I had to work and couldn't go. Did an Audrey Koomar Low Impact Cardio HIIT. She has a number of them, only one sunset one, but this one was nice if not as scenic.

Cynthia, LOL on the Siri mess up! Such bad treatment from your DD after you made such a nice meal.

Cheryl, sounds like a lovely birthday and fun for DD. And yes, I was the culprit on the NYC meet up with Cynthia and I can tell you that her choir sings beautifully, having heard them in the flesh. Time does fly, though, doesn't it.

Waves to all.

Hi Everyone!

Tomorrow I am hoping to go to the gym to do weights and maybe get in the fitness pool.

Lynn Yes, I'm blaming the respiratory issue on acid reflux. I have made some changes that has helped with the reflux, although I still have it. I have an appointment with the gastro on the Feb 21.

Cynthia The Siri mix up is too funny!

Check-In: 30 minute indoor walking

Have a Blessed evening!

Cynthia and Lynn, I was thinking Lynn but typed Linda! I shouldn't wait until it's late and I'm really tired to post, lol.

Today I did a different one from Heather. This one was called HIIT Leg Workout: Strength and Power. I looked over the breakdown and it didn't seem bad, and it wasn't. 30 seconds on and 30 off, so longer breaks, but it moved quickly when going. No dread moves, believe it or not (I don't dread jump squats). Weighted and unweighted moves. So I would do this one again.

Cynthia, pretty funny about the Siri thing!

Lynn, I've seen some other standing low-impact HIIT workouts that Audrey has put up. I didn't really like the two strength workouts of hers I tried, but I will probably do some other cardio ones! I hope she makes more with an outdoor setting.

Diana, I hope the gastro also solves the respiratory issues.

Cheryl, you are right, jump squats somehow aren't so bad. I figured you meant me, but the Lynn/Linda thing is easy to confuse.

I do Leslie-style hamstring curls when a workout has jump squats. Arthritic knees don't like to jump. I used to enjoy jumping, especially tuck jumps.

Enjoying my time w/ Debbie Rocker. Today I did the Challenge Walk upper body with the band.

My lab results pleased the blood Dr. She has me on the lowest dose of the platelet-reducing Rx. She explained that a larger dose would of course get the platelet count reduced faster, but she prefers the slow and steady approach & has found that patients have few if any side effects this way. I haven't had any side effects. I read the list of them; one was loss of appetite. I might have enjoyed that, but no; I still feel hungry most of the time.

Check-in: Fe Fir barre #4. They do jumping jacks, even in the cooldown. I FF'd through that last set. Otherwise a good workout. I check the deal of the day on totalfitness.com, and it was Fe Fit today. which inpsired me to do it.

Next, zoom singing lesson, a quick foodshop, church choir practice. When did I ever find time to work? LOL

Today I didn't have much time, so I did a standing HIIT workout (not low impact) from Audrey Koomar. Some friends with a pretty successful YouTube channel wanted to use our back garden for filming, so I had to be done early. I also got all my walking in (which for me at this point is at least 10k steps).

Cynthia, the arthritic knees would definitely preclude doing jump squats. Tuck jumps - those hurt my knees just thinking about them, lol. Unless I did them on a rebounder maybe. What we can and can't do physically limits us of course, but also for me if something hurts or is very uncomfortable, I will shy away from it. I dislike jumping jacks, and it's because they hurt, even with a good sports bra. I figured out today, weirdly after all this time, that if I contract my chest muscles throughout the jumping jack, it doesn't hurt quite as much. I think most of the exercises we, as regular exercisers, don't like, we dislike them because they are very uncomfortable or they cause pain, and not because they are hard. At least that's the way I feel.

Hi Everyone!

Cynthia I agree! I think I was more regimented when I worked, so that allowed me to get things done.

Cheryl I agree with your comment, too. I know when something is going to hurt my neck. I don't like it.

Check-In: Mall walk

Have a Blessed evening!
