Today I didn't have much time, so I did a standing HIIT workout (not low impact) from Audrey Koomar. Some friends with a pretty successful YouTube channel wanted to use our back garden for filming, so I had to be done early. I also got all my walking in (which for me at this point is at least 10k steps).
Cynthia, the arthritic knees would definitely preclude doing jump squats. Tuck jumps - those hurt my knees just thinking about them, lol. Unless I did them on a rebounder maybe. What we can and can't do physically limits us of course, but also for me if something hurts or is very uncomfortable, I will shy away from it. I dislike jumping jacks, and it's because they hurt, even with a good sports bra. I figured out today, weirdly after all this time, that if I contract my chest muscles throughout the jumping jack, it doesn't hurt quite as much. I think most of the exercises we, as regular exercisers, don't like, we dislike them because they are very uncomfortable or they cause pain, and not because they are hard. At least that's the way I feel.
