Hi everyone,
I finished my workout week on Sunday with Epic 3 Day 5, HIIT (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cL05...XjuFXy&index=6) which went pretty well considering I hadn't done HIIT for several weeks since I finished Epic Heat. I was a little sluggish at first but I really got my momentum by the end. Two rest days and today I started again with Epic 3 Day 6, back/core/biceps (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46cY...XjuFXy&index=7) and there was a LOT of back work, in fact I skipped one of the MANY sets of rows to slightly shorten the workout to 32 minutes from about 37 to keep in my timeframe. So challenging! then lots of planks and some prone abs for the core section, then tough biceps. I was really sweating today! Today was a "I REALLY, REALLY don't feel like working out" day and it turned into an awesome workout day. Aside from eating poorly last night, I then found out that my sister, who I was so thrilled came home from the hospital on Sunday, was again in bad condition and is now at a closer by hospital. To backtrack a little, last Sunday my sister and I, and her boyfriend and my DH, went to her house when she arrived from the hospital to help her move beds around, putting a bed for instance on the main floor so she wouldn't have to take stairs. Everybody felt fine at the time, but the next day my sister's boyfriend became sick and test confirmed it was Covid. Neither my sister or I have it, but now we've been asked to stay away out of caution that we might have contracted it (because all of us of course don't want my sister with cancer to get sick, especially as she is going through chemo and her immunity is down). Since she is stable and seems okay for now, I am staying back at home. Unfortunately her son who is her main caretaker, also became sick with Covid after the visit Sunday. It sounds like he is very sick, so he is also staying home while my other sister (a third sister that was not there Sunday and isn't sick) and my parents are at the hospital. It is a crazy mess. On the plus side, no more 500 error... Eventmom and Buzzer I have done Callanetics Pure and agree it seems to be mostly abs more than anything. I like Callanetics Extreme (both with Lacey) better. I will say all of the Lacey led Callanetics workouts seem to be at least 50% abs it seems. Thank you both for your continued positive thoughts to my sister. They admitted her to the hospital to make her more comfortable (from swelling and nausea) but seems that the chemo continues to seem effective on the cancer front. Eventmom it seems like you most love that goop TA workout, that's awesome! Buzzer great job keeping up with your run/walking and yes that Squeeze Stronger has absolutely incredible arm work, she is definitely the clear winner for arm work in a barre workout! Thanks for asking and DH seems to be doing fine after his heart attack, which was four months ago now if you can believe it?! No more incidents, he is STILL on a waitlist for cardio rehab but even his follow up heart specialists told him the rehab is more for people older and more serious heart events (like open-heart surgery) than he had so not to sweat it too much. He is not wanting to take his diabetes stuff because of the needles, but since he is doing okay I'm not nagging him too much about it. Sometimes I feel like I should, but I don't really know. He is making incrementally better food choices at least. Nothing super healthy, more like his appetite is down, so he doesn't eat much regular food then has really no appetite left for dessert. But his weight has stabilized which I think is good, after he kept losing weight.
