Hi everyone,
I started my workout week today with lower body. As an alternate to Caroline, I found a Daniel PT Fitness kettlebell style lower body strength (this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pc9L...4uVpN&index=24) and then also because it was a little shorter, I added on this Heather quickie (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4AX...4uVpN&index=25) with warm up and stretch was 56 minutes. Tomorrow will be upper body then I'll be in the office all afternoon then am hanging with my sister in the evening. It will be a marathon day! We are returning to the office soon a couple of days a week, so I need to take that into consideration when planning my next rotation. It will have to be shorter/easier workouts on the in office days, at least to start. Eventmom Wow Fitprime Push Pull is a toughie! I really like it though, both versions (they are pretty much the same if I recall, well I guess the original is called From the Ground Up and is co-led by Kimberly but they both have Heidi and the same music). Eventmom and Buzzer I absolutely love the Fitprimes. Yes to Buzzer's point, they seem like they are easier but can easily be made more intense with heavier weights and it is so easy to modify up on the cardio. Or keep it less intense but still get in a great, well rounded workout. I'm definitely going to add more in my new rotation. Buzzer I've been enjoying the GD discussion about Caroline lately, but a lot of youtube instructors I'm not interested in, and not interested in streaming at all. Yes it seems like Cathe is coming out with some kind of "STS 2" but who knows when Also I thought Jessica Smith was coming out with a DVD set but now maybe not? Anyway I'm glad there's still SOME discussion on GD... I see Wendy pop in occasionally to stop a thread, people get pretty touchy about the diet discussion. She should definitely accept help from others though that want to help moderate! Yuck I didn't know there were bots on here but that would only make sense if no "real" new members are able to join. It is so sad thinking about the idea that VF may not be around forever. I love visiting and posting so much!!

Hi everyone,
Yesterday I did Caroline upper body (this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYR0...4uVpN&index=26) and I don't remember if I've done this one before, I don't think so, but the time really flew by!! The supersets just go really fast. I upped my chest fly/press weight to 20# from 17.5# (I have adjustable bells) and felt a good burnout. There was just a lot of shoulders so I subbed in abs instead for one superset and that was great. With warm up, brief cardio and stretch it was a 59 minute workout. The rest of the day was sooooo busy with work at home in the morning, meetings, driving to HQ for an in person event, then hung out with my sister in the evening and didn't get home until very late, then didn't' sleep well and I had to wake up early to take Lucy into the specialist, so all in all I was exhausted today. I just could not get up to work out before the appointment and still didn't feel like it after so I did a quick 15 minute yoga while I waited for lunch to cook (this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYbFGbLPlb0) and it felt really good so I'm going with that today, even 15 minutes is something. The orthopedic said that Lucy does have a luxating patella in both her back knees, it would have been there her whole life but probably the fall twisted and inflamed the muscles around the one knee making it seem like a new problem. She said based on her not seeing to be bothered and an improvement the last month while I've had her separated, that she shouldn't need to have surgery unless she gets worse. She said if she gets worse, it isn't really the patella but a torn ACL and that's why the dogs need surgery. She said a lot of times small dogs aren't bothered by the luxating patella at all and that is a consideration for surgery (if they're not bothered, don't do surgery). She said I should slowly start to reincorporate her into the rest of the house, stairs, walks, etc. So I'm happy with that!! Eventmom That's interesting about Heidi not doing the cardio in Push Pull because of an injury! I liked Kimberly in it too. You are right about all the equipment - LOL!! Eventmom and Buzzer Yes, it's a bummer to go back to work (starting early May). They said one day a week, but then they said two days a week so I'll probably do Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I still feel lucky to have had the last two years of telework, and two days in the week is better than the four days I was doing before the pandemic! But it is a bummer and I dread I'll be really tired and dragging until I get used to the new routine. Just coming in one day a week the last couple of weeks has made me tired all week and weekend so it worries me. I plan to still keep my exercise in the early morning before commuting, but I'll have to dial it back from 60-ish minutes to maybe 30 to start, then work up to 45 hopefully. I am hoping my commute will be too bad, the drive itself hasn't been bad based on my recent experience, although I'm not always commuting during rush hour. Buzzer I would love to see VF get new members too! I am just so sure there would be a new generation of exercisers that use youtube even if they don't own a single DVD (exercise or otherwise ). I agree with you about STS 2 and not jumping on the presale. It's mostly because my strength workout itch is totally scratched by Caroline, even if I had a brand new set in my hands today I'd still do Caroline! I'm sure I'll eventually bite though depending on what it looks like. Also I jumped on the boss bands presage, and I like the DVDs but I don't love them. I got Fit Split I think on VF Roost? And it was definitely cheaper than $40, probably half that or maybe $25, if you want to keep an eye out. I have combined the Push and Pull days a few times to make a total body workout, and really like it for that application. I like that there is a premix for that too (you don't have to put in both DVDs to make it happen). Cathe is really top of the line for her premixes! I think I've also done the low impact workout and liked it too and need to try out the others on the set. I do really like the 30 minute format. I like Turbo Barre too, but I will say for barre I would usually reach for Pure Barre first, or P57 or HSM. But when I'm on a really focused barre rotation, Turbo Barre comes up and I do really like it.

Hi everyone,
I really didn't want to do Dream Body today, in fact I love DB but I am going to put it aside as I transition back to work and get used to my new schedule. In other words I'm going to dial down my workouts just a little bit. I have to figure out my new rotation this weekend! So I ended up going for an outdoor run for 45 minutes then did this brief ab workout with CDorner Fitness which was good (this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DgxT...ndex=98&t=140s). The exercises weren't that hard but they were slow and controlled which made it harder. Then I finished with an extended stretch (this one, it's kind of become my go-to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EpB6...FgH7W&index=46). I follow it the first half and then I kind of freestyle to hit more of the upper body than just the legs. Overall it was a 70 minute workout. Tomorrow I'm not sure what I'll do. Maybe the final Dream Body of my rotation that i skipped today? or who knows! Eventmom waves! Buzzer Wow I meant to commend you on your 80 minute leg workout, that is amazing!!! I really enjoyed my Cathe phase too starting a year or two ago. It's like EVERYTHING she had was new to me!!! So exciting as a vidiot I agree her workouts really shine, they are really well thought out. Your island project continues to sound really amazing! I'm glad you slept well too!
