Question Alternatives to Thorlos?

I love the cushioning that Thorlo socks offer but they make me feet feel so uncomfortably HOT! Can anyone make a recommendation for an alternative? Thanks!

Have you tried the running-lite style? They are much thinner and cooler than the other Thorlo's and are my preferred style. I'm with you on the hot feet thing, it's a constant issue with me. I can't even wear my nice hand knit wool socks anymore, too hot.

I love the thick thorlos (especially the post office issue style), but find them too claustrophobic and hot to wear under sneaks. They are fabulous with clogs though. No, not I'm suggesting running or any other high impact cardio in clogs.

Hi Loretta,

I should have mentioned in my original post, that I find even the Lite version of Thorlos too hot! I'm wondering if there is another brand that offers the cushioning on the bottom without the bulk on the rest of the sock, or perhaps is made of different material?

Look for CoolMax

I can't give you brand names particularly, but a lot of people like thinner runners socks with CoolMax. The fabric wicks, so may keep your feet cooler than Thorlos.

I have the same problem with Thorlos, and even with other socks that have Coolmax. I must be weird or something. My favorite socks are the athletic ones made by Easy Spirit. They have a lot of cushioning on the bottom (the full sole, not with the break in the middle like Thorlos) and are much, much cooler. They're also cheaper, at 3 pairs for $15.

Pam, I think your cat is trying to...

...hypnotize me. I just found myself looking deep into his eyes. Make him stop.

I think my cats do that to me all the time. ...You will not be able to resist waiting on me hand & foot...you will buy the most expensive cat food...all of your yoga blankets will become cat blankets....
