They felt a little odd around the toe box, but I think that was more getting used to them than anything else. Overall, I'm definitely pleased with the purchase.
Thanks for the updated review, Beth!

I don't wear them all the time -- my own foot theory revolves around changing shoe types every day or so. Seems to work like an exercise for me.

They're not good for everyone -- my husband in particular had very unpleasant luck with them (he has low arches). But when they're good, they're great!
Update from me: I've worn my Earth shoes with relative frequency over the last couple of years and found them great. When we went to Argentina for the summer I took them as one of my traditional 2-pairs-of-shoes. We do lots of walking when we're living in Buenos Aires and I need very good shoes.

This was my first Earth every day test and it was pretty much a disaster. I started noticing a weird tightness in my psoas/adductor area and piriformis too. At first I thought it was just over-walking and kept wearing the shoes. By the end of the third week it was downright painful. Ankle to knee, which is one of my basic travel poses, was impossible. So was just about my entire hip opener practice.

I switched to some Easy Spirit walkers (recommended by VF's behaha) and slowly the tightness and pain began to ease. And now, about two months after stopping with the Earths I'm almost back to normal.

Granted, this is anecdotal: it's just my experience and I probably do have much tighter calves than most of you. My little story is a mere part of the picture. I'll still wear the Earths (I'm still fond of them), but in very limited doses. I think as long as I keep rotating in and out of them they'll probably be even therapeutic.

I have lots of Earth shoes & recently took two pairs on a vacation where I walked a lot every day. LOVE 'em! However, I had a pair of Earth Pacific walking shoes for two or three years and never liked them much. Although they were the same size as my other Earths they seemed a little narrow in the toe box. Worse, whenever I would wear them for awhile and then wear some non-Earth shoes, my knees would feel wonky/sore. For ages I thought I just couldn't alternate Earth and non-Earth shoes without hurting my knees, but finally I realized it was only that pair. They went in the Goodwill pile finally!

6pm.com is a great place to find cheap Earth shoes. Karen, to you for making me look -- they have a LOT of styles in my size right now and I do NOT need them!!!

At those prices, how can you not need them?

Cheryl - although 6pm seems to be Zappos' outlet, they only offer free shipping if you order over $100 and, if the shoes don't work for you, you have to pay shipping back.
