Hi Everyone!

Lynn I am also a grinder (bruxism). I have been wearing a dental guard for probably 30 years. I also had to have surgery on my jaw. I have had dental pain from biting and grinding during the day and not even realize I was doing it.

Check-In: 45 minute outdoor walk

Yes, exactly.
Today for the first time I did a full-length workout, from the same DVD that has the Express, which has the same footage, edited to about half. It took me more than the 55 min run time, I had to take breaks. And I found it difficult to walk after the standing pretzels. Next section was the well-deserved leg stretch & I thought it was the end. But no. More C-curve abwork. I didn't need to modify except for the part of the leg stretch where they stacked their shins. (Suzanne Bowen does this too.) I haven't been able to do that for a long time. And of course arthritis modifies some moves for me - the knees don't bend very far and don't straighten totally.. But I do what I can and am quite pleased with that.

I didn't get a workout in today because I cleaned the house. I got a lot of steps in even without a workout.

Tomorrow I have a memorial service to attend. Not sure about getting in a workout. Hopefully next week will be less busy.

check-in: a full-length Dailey on DVD. This one is from the Dailey Now DVD; the cover says it's approx 53 min; on the DVD, Jill says 60; I timed it at 58. The cover also says it's similar to a Dailey Method class at one of their studios (doesn't say which one LOL). I did this without needing any breaks. I found it slightly easier than the other one, but that's okay. This one has moves that seem familiar to me, the other one has moves I haven't encountered before.

I plan to alternate the 2 full-length workouts all next week.

barre 3 45 minutes. Still not over the cold/cough, but on the mend. Yesterday had a nice walk in the park. Trees not yet at peak color (though they are supposed to be, but very pretty.)

Cynthia, sounds like you are doing great preparing for the retreat. Those Dailey methods are no joke so doing without breaks is really great. By the way, in the barre 3 today they did the Pilates Little bit of heaven with the band around the biceps a few inches above the elbow. When you come into the push up your chest comes onto the band. It makes the push up very interesting and helps you go down in one piece.

Diana, you sure sound busy. Hope next week is more calm for you.
