Happy birthday Diane!

I hope you have an enjoyable day.

Nothing here except for my walk through the casino to where we got the employee boosters. I made it through work, went home and took a Tylenol PM and then another when I woke up at 11:30. I was already on day three of a terrible sinus headache, and knew I was flirting with disaster. Oh well I will be good to start cooking tomorrow.

Be well Donna and Summer Breeze!

Hi Pat - did you feel ill from the booster or was it the sinus headache? I have to get my booster at some point, just trying to time it right. Did you get Moderna or Pfizer? I got Pfizer originally but I'm considering the Moderna booster b/c I read that that particular combo is better than three Pfizers, but I also don't want to deal with severe side effects if I can help it. I guess I'll just get what is easiest to obtain. I am pretty sure I'll feel like cr@p for a day - b/c I did after the 2nd Pfizer. It is worth it though not to get COVID.

I got the Pfizer booster and both previous shots were Pfizer as well. Mild symptoms after the 2nd and felt like I had the flu after my booster. Tylenol and rest took care of that. My DH had Moderna and felt mild fatigue after both his second shot and booster.

Interesting about the Moderna booster being a better combo than three Pfizers. I will definitely look into that should we need more vaccinations in the future (which I'm sure we will be).

Hi all !!

I don't want to say this too loudly, but I think I'm noticing another slight improvement. Shhhh. I did some stretches from the 3 Minutes to a Pain Free Life book yesterday and today I feel a tad better. I had tried these stretches a month or so ago and it just made things worse so it could be coincidence. I was thinking of trying a short walk today but it's pretty chilly right now so I'll wait to see how I feel later on this afternoon before I decide. I was also thinking of trying Winsor B&T, my old tried and true. I looked through my old exercise log and I think I did that dvd a few times during my last bout of sciatic pain.

DIANE, Happy Birthday!! Enjoy your day, it sounds like a fun one.

PAT, hope you're doing ok after the booster shot.

DONNA, can't go wrong with Ellen. I did see MR's streaming sale and believe it or not I actually considered it for a second. But since I barely used it at all this past year it would really be a waste for me.

My sister-in-law (DH's older sister) invited us to her house for Thanksgiving, so no cooking for me this year! I will help her though because she's getting on in years though she's very energetic. I was a little hesitant at first because I think she's having maybe 10 - 15 people but they're all vaccinated so we're going to give it a try.

Stay well and have a wonderful day everyone!

Good morning all. Nothing to report. I had to work late in order to take two days off then pick up a last few grocery items. The booster didn't help.

Donna, I can't really tell which is the shot and which is the allergy headache, but the shot made it worse. I feel somewhat better today. Agree with you that it's worth it. I can't stand to think of the aftermath of unprotected COVID and how long it would take to work out again, not to mention so many worse possibilities.

Summer Breeze - your secret is safe with me. [Locks lips and throws away key.]

Diane - I'm really happy my employers have been giving us the Moderna. I'm glad they're giving us anything at all and with the ease of getting it right here at work.

Good luck with your Thanksgiving prep, ladies!

Hi Everyone,

I took the day off - doing some food prep - I did a ton of it on Sunday - so this is just the final bits!

Today's workouts:

Reps to the Rhythm - ABBA walk - this is my first time doing one of these workouts and it was really fun - no verbal cues, just music and he was very good and cuing the moves w/out speaking. I would definitely do more of these from this channel - I can see them being very good for getting extra steps/activity in during the winter when walking outside is less than appealing.

Gin B/Up to the Beat Fitness - I continued the ABBA theme and did her ABBA walk. This was much more fast paced - but still enjoyable.

Ellen - 7 Day Series - Day # 3 - Core Yoga

Yesterday I went for a short dog walk in the afternoon as a break from my desk but it was cold and windy. I also did the Piriformis exercises from Annie Pilates Physical Therapy (on You Tube). I'm cautiously optimistic about these as I think a huge step in the right direction is getting strength back into my hips and glutes.

Summer Breeze - I hope you continue to see improvement.

Pat - the booster is definitely on my agenda - I have a Dr's appointment next week - and I'm going to see if I can get it then, if they have it available. I think they have the Moderna booster, and I'm good with that even though I got Pfizer last time. I just want to get it...and get it over with. I was sick in bed for a day and then didn't feel great for the next half day w/ the 2nd Pfizer, so I'm trying to time it well.

Waves, Diane - I hope you had a good B'day!

Hope everyone has a good day!

Hi Everyone,

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Today's workouts were:

Grow With Jo - Total Beginner Walk - this was another w/ just verbal cues. I just find Jo adorable. But, this was not as much fun as Reps to the Rhythm. (20 min)

Ellen - 7 Day Series Day # 4 - Quick Cardio (15 min)

Jessica Valent - Gentle Pilates - Full Body Workout Gratitude Focus - I did the version that is in her Unlimited site, but I think she has a shorter version on You Tube.

Yesterdy I managed to squeeze in a dog walk and Jessica Valent's Hip Pain routine.

I hope everyone has a nice holiday!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

The big day is here. Wishing you all health, happiness and abundance.

I didn't have any formal exercise yesterday but racked up 7,200 steps bustling around. My pumpkin pie in the crappy premade frozen crust doesn't look half bad. It sure smelled wonderful and I'm looking forward to trying it later. I'm wicked sore and looking forward to a longer yin practice soon.

Donna you find the best YT workouts. ABBA sounds fun, I'll scope out that channel. Enjoy the fruits of your labor today!

Best to Diane and Summer Breeze.
