Long time Lurker

I've been here for a while now but I mostly lurk. I do sometimes post on the exchange. I've accuired many good dvds because of this site. When I first started I had a handfull of dvds and now I have more than I can count.

I lurk a lot too; not sure why. Maybe it's because I talk a lot in my regular, offline life. But I really appreciate the site. I like: kickboxing, bellydance, yoga, pilates, and what seem to be called "peachy" workouts around here. I thought I liked (and then was forced to liquidate piles of) Cathe, Tae Bo and step. I might regret investing in: my Urban Rebounder, which I like the idea of but never seem to do much on. I am looking forward to: Turbo Jam. I am ambivalent about: Yoga Booty Ballet. My May 18th resolution is: to post some reviews of the above.

Hi,

Welcome lurkers! Please do post when you feel comfortable. This is a very friendly place

I also want to thank Krista for starting this thread-I think I just found a local vf'er that I've met, but didn't know she was into exercise videos (hearing "it's a small world" playing now

Take care,
Sherry

Hi, I guess I am yet another "post occasionally, but been here awhile" lurker. I have been working out at home for thirteen years now. I began with Kathy Smith and now use Cathe exclusively.

I had been having motivational problems with the Hardcore series (I am a morning exerciser), so this morning I went back to Imax 1 and loved it.

Wow!

The stars must be aligned or something! It's a lurker convention! I've never seen so many people come out from under the step before. Great job Krista!

So here's the thing: if you never post you're just a lurker; if you post, you're a VFer. Which would you rather be?

Most of us here are very very nice - except me and my friends. Welcome to the outside world!

Lexy
PS - For the record, I never log off because I lost my stupid password.

Me too! I'm guilty of lurking. Have posted a few times & gotten some really great advice. I just sent in a money order to become a supporter. Love this site.

One of the times I posted was about my son Peter who is 21 and developmentally handicapped & his need to loose some weight. We thought he might be diabetic but fasting blood work came back good but he had low numbers on his good cholesterol. The doctor told us with exercise & better eating he could fix that. He's changed his way of eating (no powdered drinks, ovaltine, sugar cereal) and does the 2 mile Leslie Sansone walk 6 times a week and in 6 weeks has lost almost 20 pounds. He's so proud of himself and has had to buy a new wardrobe! His sister is coming home for his high school graduation in June and she's not seen him since February. He can't wait for her to see the "New Peter". I am also very proud of Peter. He looks wonderful!

The advice I have gotten from my friends at VF have helped not only me but Peter.

Thanks!

I've got to figure out a way to get pics of my dogs over to the pet avatar thread. Y'all would love my babies!

Hi Jenny, and hi to everyone else who has de-lurked!

Exclamation Crossing my fingers that I don't kill this thread!!

I'm a lurker....I'd love to be more active but my time is really limited and I am generally genetically unable to write a short post and so read more than post.

Lately I also tend to kill threads to which I post or worse yet help them on their way to being locked;o))

I have a growing number of clients who cross train which makes it really important to keep up with industry trends and VF makes doing this much more fun than reading a dull trade magazine.

I'm also looking into being certified in "Heart" yoga for my patients at my regular job (I'm a cardiac rehab RN and a Certified Clinical exercise specialist) so I love reading the yoga threads and have practiced yoga on and off for years.

I'm a T-Tapp trainer so I generally look at any fitness activity from a different point of view but I'm not the nut case that I'm sure some would think I am. I also never push T-Tapp on anyone because I feel (based upon my personal experience) that you really need to be ready and willing before it will click for you.

[editing to ask if you guys can see my disclosure statement. I can never see it, hence the T-Tapp trainer in my signature. ]
