Thank you! It's going to be a beautiful fall day with nice weather. The trees are very colorful. I can't go take a walk in the woods but I can admire them from my front porch!

Now the workouts.

Last Saturday (not a few days ago Saturday, but the previous Saturday) I CL # 92 Boot Camp Blast Off and it was GREAT! Loved it and would do it again!

Monday - Caroline Girvan 5 Min Full Body Warm Up + DAY 7 EPIC Dumbbell Lower Body Workout, It was TOUGH! I used 15’s (can't use/don't have Caroline's weights). These were slow reps and I have to say that I got tired of doing lunges between each set of exercises but I know the repetition is beneficial. Then I did Flow & Hold Yoga Class - Five Parks Yoga, which felt really good.

Tuesday - Caroline Girvan 5 Min Full Body Warm Up + Day 8 EPIC Dumbbell Upper Body Workout. I LOVED this workout! It may be a new UB fav! I liked that it was mostly compound, not isolated moves. The moves were slow and there was repetition but I didn't get tired of it. This workout just worked for me. I had a little extra gas in the tank, so I added on Cathe’s Perfect High Impact HiiT. This was one of those perfect workout days for me - lots of energy, loved both workouts. Wish I had these days every day.

Wednesday - I did Jessica Smith Barre - Free Full Length 30-Minute Cardio Ballet Workout (fat burning barre workout) on YT (felt really good and I loved it!) + 30-Minute Fusion Sculpt, Total Body Strength, Barre, Pilates, Yoga Exercise. This was a good lightweight workout. I liked it but liked the Cardio Ballet better.

Thursday - CL #151 Athletic Conditioning, which was HARD! No doubt it was a great workout, but you remember me saying Tuesday was a great workout day? Well, Thursday not so much. I didn't sleep well Wednesday night, so I was tired. And I felt sore and creaky. Might have been the rain moving in. I don't know, but I just got through it but it wasn't pretty.

Friday - I was planning on doing another Aqua Jade workout, but my body was needing some functional movement. I tried Kimberly Spreen Triple Threat Cardio Kickboxing + Functional Power. I liked both workouts and really liked the music. Most of the songs were familiar from other workouts. I thought these were steady state, which felt good after having an off day Thursday.

Saturday I pulled out KCM Bootcamp and did the Double Session Premix, which is both workouts + Plateau Buster Stretch. This was a good workout day. It felt good and Bootcamp was just right for me.

As FOLVS said, "In big ways, or small ways, keep moving Watulans!"

Manley, great workouts this week! You’ve got a good mix in there.

Nathalie I bet the fall colors are beautiful in Canada. I wish I had a front porch to enjoy the scenery. We have had an exceptionally long warm stretch into October this year where I live. The leaves haven’t really started turning very much yet.

I went for a walk at lunch today and tonight I did The Firm, Maximum Body Sculpting with Tracie Long. I picked this up at the thrift store. I liked it because it had a ton of variety, not too much time spent on each body part, and it really went by quickly. I used fairly light weights but you could easily make it harder with heavier weights.

I hope everyone has a great week.

Hello All,

I see that all are rocking the workouts. I will try to catch upon ll of the personals later today and post more then. My workouts have been mostly bodyweight exercises but because of my schedule I have not been very consistent even with that.

Hey All.....

Yes, Happy belated Thanksgiving to Nathalie! Sounds like you are progressing. Must feel so good to have that boot off at least some of the time! Good luck with the continuing rehab.

No workout for me this morning -- went to San Francisco early-ish so my husband could see a foot specialist. That went pretty well, so I'm happy about that.

Yesterday I did the Boss Bands total body workout. I'm so close to joining Cathe Live -- partly I want to try those workouts she does with the bands and loops! The only reason I haven't joined yet is because I've been busy. Good to know I don't have to wait for a sale -- thanks!!

Keeping this brief.....

bee the only thing holding me back on live is that I really have so many DVDs I need to enjoy. I know it would distract me. But I'm cheering you in to join!

kim that firm is one of my favorite Tracie Long workouts. And you're exactly right, you can make harder or less strenuous with the weight choice.

manley some workout days be like that, right? It looks like you are having more good than bad. Good for you for making it through

horusosiris I think I will continue to do a body weight week every few weeks. Seems to do a world of good for my stamina and mental energy. I'm glad you checked in!

lavna Happy Thanksgiving!! Walking in a boot is exhausting. I was wincing when you mentioned the stairs. I'd say there will be some not so great feeling rehab exercises but hang in there!! .

ChelePA still ringing to 85 for you! Sending hugzzz as well.

Baby Watulan I had to pull out PHH to watch those outtakes for the giggle. I forgot how funny they were. I did find a rotation in the case I had..and notes that I loved the arm workout. How funny is that?

kittybug Will you omit the lower body workouts in FitSplit and sub in Barre? Or add?Oh and our leaves are turning the most beeyouteeful colors!!

kate sending you stay strong vibes!!

cataddict hope you're adjusting ok. HUGZZZ!

Soooo I had to move my daughter...for the THIRD time this semester. Her room was flooded. So I hauled my best let's do this butt up there to help her. It started out a bit rough..RA was being unhelpful and them it started raining. So I asked everyone I passed if they wouldn't love moving in the rain, too. I announced how of course I would drop items off a cart in the grass in the rain ( pretty sure it's a rule ) and made my daughter giggle. She was pretty stressed and I don't blame her. Paper due and two tests.. nobody wants to wake up at 3:30 to walk in water and wonder why. And then we go to the new room with no furniture. Yes, thank you, RA for making this a slam dunker and then acting stupid when my daughter calls to ask about it. So...Linda started talking loudly to the maintenance fellas about how CAN we get that furniture (I was outside the RAs door) and how HARD is it. They look at me strangely and say not too hard (thanks guys ). So she comes out and all of a sudden we are Miss Helpful. Walking to the room (in the rain) and she has become Miss concerned. She's gonna fill this form and that but it will be a day or two.

Off we go into the nice mild thunder to trudge wet things and suddenly it stops raining. I kid you not the weather turned to the most beautiful cool fall sunny day...ahhh. I thanked God loudly every time we made another uneventful trip (ok I almost lost another load but I was carrying alot, ok?)

The next AM we ran into the one of the maintenance fellas as we went to breakfast and he asked if we got set up and we told him no that RA said it would take a few days and he frowned and said let me see what I can do and got on his walkie talkie to Ronnie. Well Idk who Ronnie is but evidently he can make crap happen pronto. We came back from breakfast and nearly everything she needs was there.

I did my workout in her gym because they have kettlebells like I have dandelions but took a rest day yesterday. Hoping my back feels ok to get back on track.

Wednesday is a hump day to conquer like a Watulan!

Hi all,

Workouts first. I have been to the gym with DH twice, using the stair climber, the elliptical, the bike, and walking. On CheleFunSunday I did an advanced step workout with Chris Dorner. She had a young girl Caitlin with her doing the workout as well. Apparently the girl (who looked to be 16 at the most) has her own channel on You Tube as well. She was very good and didn't make mistakes even when Christine did. I really like Chris' workouts. I enjoy more complex routines so I really enjoy hers. I also did the Caroline Girvan workout recommended in the manleyplan---Epic Day 8 Upper Body Dumbbells. Yes, it's a good one! I didn't mind the repetition either for whatever reason. I always marvel at the weights Caroline uses. No, I neither have nor could I handle her weights, but I used as heavy as I could manage. I also followed it with Perfect 30 HiiT but I did my version of the Low Impact workout. I add more impact and intensity but no burpees.

Nathalie, another belated Happy Thanksgiving. Good to hear of your progress and I know you don't miss that boot.

FN1, forgot to comment on Zipper. Good news about the little guy!

FOLV, ugh on moving your daughter yet again! Hopefully the third time is the charm!

horusosiris, good to "see" you and glad you checked in.

BabyW, we are thinking of you no matter how much or how little you may post. Loved your little poem.

Kate, sending hugs to you and Justin.

Kim, our leaves are just beginning to change with the week of relatively cool weather we had. Then it hit 80 again and it's supposed to be in the 80s for the next few days. Just crazy stuff in October. I miss the fall in the mountains, but we do get some color.

Chele, I think of you when I do some of the fun step I've been doing with Christine Dorner. I've been checking Kat's channel and she hasn't put out a whole lot of new step recently, or it's been basic. I do like my choreography and her music is good, so I'm hoping she puts out another advanced step soon.

bee, come join the 3Live Crew (me, manley, and horusosiris! FOLV is correct that you get distracted by it, but it's just so much fun to have so many choices! I'm loving that I have the Excel spreadsheet that lists all of them by date and description so it makes it easy to choose based on what kind of workout I want to do.

manley, I'm waiting for more workout suggestions, although I think I still have to do the Caroline total body one you recommended.

Waves and hugs to all!

I absolutely loved reading, and giggled at Linda the Storyteller's dorm drama, and Alta the Poet's epigram!

Linda, you created such a great visual I could actually see all of this unfolding. You are hilarious! And you know how to get things DONE! Good 'ole Ronnie coming to the rescue!

VVFer loved your ode! Love your posts, no matter how long or short, you always have our support.

Cataddict glad you liked Caroline's Day 8 UB. I love your idea of doing your own version of low impact Perfect HiiT. I sometimes do that with other workouts, so why not this one? And where did you find the excel spreadsheet that has all of the CL's by date and description? My ears perked up when I read that.

Kim I ran across Maximum Body Sculpting the other day when I was rearranging some workouts, and remembered just how good this workout is. I also really like her Total-Body Shaping Mix. There's a lunge move in that one where Tracie's says something like "here comes the happily married couple." HA! Anyone else remember this comment?

Workouts so far this week:

Monday - Caroline Girvan 5 Min Full Body Warm Up + Day 9 of EPIC Full Body Workout with Dumbbells 1 hour No Repeat. This was a great total body workout. I LOVED the balance moves and the unweighted LB. I also liked the little "twists" Caroline added to some of the moves, such as a courtesy lunge where you lift your back leg and tap your foot before setting it back down. I added Jessica Smith's Gentle Yoga for Balance, Flexibility, & Mobility Flow 4: Total Body for a nice slow stretch. Did I tell ya'll that I recently found 4 of Jessica's dvds at HPB? Also found some Ballet Beautiful and The Bar Method Accelerated Workout all for $2.00 each. I get 10% off since I'm a teacher, so can't beat those prices! Yay!

Tuesday - cardio day and not in the mood for HiiT/tabata, just good 'ole cardio, so I pulled out Amy Bento Hi-Lo Dome Challenge. I have only done the cardio section, so I really like that she adds the stretch after the cardio but before the dome section. Makes it easy to end the workout there. This hi the spot. It was fun, music was right. Good workout choice. Also did Yoga with Kassandra 30 min Vinyasa Yoga - A Little Bit of Everything, which was a good short flow. There were a few hard moves that I couldn't do, but she didn't hold any move for that long so it was all good.

Wednesday I started with Yoga for Stress & Anxiety Yoga Class - Five Parks Yoga, which felt REALLY good! It was a slow practice, but really opened up and stretched my muscles/body. I also added on KCM's Trim & Tone which I haven't done if forever. I really liked it! It's great for a short on time time, need a quick workout day. There's a nice variety of moves so the workout flows well.

Cataddict and Horusosiris, wonder what the CL will be today?

Hugs and waves all!

THIS!! Could not have said it better than Manleym!!

So I'm doing Fit Split this week, and Sunday was Kickbox/Legs/abs, Monday was Mixed Impact/Pull, Tuesday was Shred/Push, and Wednesday I did a workout called Plyo Pilates that I just acquired and LOVED LOVED LOVED. Wow, it's like a fusion Ellen type workout but on serious steroids, a little bit of everything, non-stop movement, and I worked up a decent sweat. Not the best production quality and sometimes I had a hard time hearing her over the music but I didn't even care! Really good stuff! Today will be back to Fit Split and Low Impact/Metabolic/Abs.

Sorry for the drive-by...terribly busy week, UG....stay fierce, Watulans!!
