Crone Cronies - She Who Laughs Last Didn't Get It. July 25

The Cronies is a place for women who are mature in age or attitude. The group is highly diverse in that we have ages ranging from 30s to 60s, some are moms, some are single, some are teachers/professors, and some have jobs and work outside the home and some don’t. We do our own thing and are happy when life doesn’t get in the way too often. Some are training for a marathon, some don’t even do vids, you get the picture.

Life and exercise are what we report. A thread is started every Sunday. Some report every day, others whenever they can.

Bottom line: we are a diverse group and very supportive of each other’s goals. Oh, and we’re funny as heck. If you’d like to join us, just come on down.

Good morning!

Thanks Laura for supplying a title in a message from 2020! Looks like VF only keeps a month now in threads, so I've lost Laura's last list of titles .

It's another hot one out there - I'll be taking Gus for his walk and likely swim this morning before it gets too hot. I'll be putzing around town - need to find a pair of pants that can replace a pair that tore in my washer yesterday .

Paula, hope you and Laura get together today! I saw an article on the firefighters and they said their fire season has expanded an extra two months out of the year out west - not good.

Waves to all!

Anita

The last couple of days, rehearsal and church decorating and the wedding went really well. The wedding service was beautiful. They did a great job of planning it and they were just so happy and in love. It was great to see two people find each other in their 50s and get married for the first time.

Anita - Thanks for getting us started. Good job finding such an old theme. Here are the three remaining themes from my most recent list:

Crone Cronies - My Stomach Is Flat. The "L" is Silent. 7/25

Crone Cronies - My Brain Has Too Many Tabs Open. 8/1

Crone Cronies - I'm Sorry. Did I Roll My Eyes Out Loud? 8/8

I need to go get my shower to get ready to meet Paula. I'm looking forward to it!

Good evening. Workout this morning was a neighborhood walk with DH and some yoga/stretch on my own.

Anita, thanks for getting us started. The theme is so true, at least of me. Hope Gus got his swim and you got new pants. Met Laura and we had no problem spotting each other. Ended up swapping life stories for four hours! We are going to try to get together again when I'm in her area in September. I took a selfie of us that Laura is going to try and post. Not the best picture of either of us, but proves we met.

Good morning!

Planning on walking Gus before it gets too hot here. Otherwise putzing around - game of spades this afternoon. Got a message from WRC that the duckling nursery is closing this week, so I have my Wednesdays back!

Laura, glad all went well with the wedding prep and the actual ceremony! My stepfather married my mom when he was in his 50s and that made the rest of his life very happy - it's possible! Thanks for the themes list! I kind of miss the storage of our posts in this group for several years back when - now it's just a month...

Paula, no new pants yet, just kind of cursing that I'm now down to two summer pants . Yay that you got to meet Laura! Add a picture of you both or make it your avatar!

Waves to all!

It was a nice afternoon. I'm glad we were able to get together, Paula. I posted the picture in a new album titled People. It's not the best picture, but I'm glad to have the evidence we got together.

Today, we are going to get out and do something. DH would like to go to the botanical garden, but I'm afraid it would be too much for him. We may do a driving tour of Old Pasedena to look at the historic buildings and houses. We'll see.

Anita - It's great you got your Wednesdays back! Enjoy recalibrating your schedule.

Paula - I told DH that it was a weird but nice sensation to meet someone for the first time and feel like I've known them for years. DH said that was because that was the case.

Good evening. Workout this morning was Pahla B. Body Shaping Day 22 Strength and a neighborhood walk with DH.

Anita, sorry you didn't find any new pants. I wanted a couple pair of what we used to call pedal pushers and are now called skimmers - I had to order off Amazon couldn't find them anywhere else. Is it just me or does it seem as though everything is more difficult to find now? I'm looking for towels and can't find anything I like. I'd like something with a pattern but can only find solids. Never was a problem before, maybe it's just current fashion or maybe there supply line problems with everything. Yay on getting your Wednesday's back.

Laura, hope you and your DH had a nice day today, got to Huntington Park and Library or toured South Pasadena, both are nice. Did you make it to Sierra Madre? Your DH is right - it was the casee we've known each other for years but had never met face to face. I'm going to go check out the picture.

Good morning!

Planning on walking Gus, going to an eye doctor, and getting a passport photo taken. The eye doctor isn't a specialist that can cover my glaucoma, but I need to see her to be sent to a specialist - my regular doctor retired. I'm also working on getting my passport renewed - expires early next year. I'm also working on getting my will and living trust updated from 5 years ago to be more up to date with my wishes - those changes were sent to my lawyer. These are some of the additional projects I'm working on from an AC home . It'll be another hot one today.

Laura, cute picture but small! I've not had to do the sizing for photos going into my albums compared to my avatar. So are you and Paula going to use the same photo for your avatars here?

Paula, I did order some new pants - hopefully will get here next week. I love Indian type capris for summer wear . I ordered off their Sudara site. I wish we could have gotten together last time I was in CA, but it didn't work out for us. It is wonderful to meet a friend you've talked to on internet so long!

Waves to all!

I realized I had sized the picture for an avatar, not to upload. So, I have now uploaded the larger version of that same picture. Sorry about that.

Yesterday, we did a driving tour of historic buildings in Pasadena. We were afraid that there would be too much walking for DH at the Huntington Garden. The tram they offer for people who have mobility issues isn't offered during COVID. Anyway, it was an enjoyable thing to do. We saw some beautiful historic buildings and learned some about the history of this area of California.

Today is moving day. We are packing up to move to a hotel much closer to the airport before we fly out tomorrow morning at 9:30. We may find that Mulholland Drive scenic drive. It depends on how we feel.

Good evening. Workout this morning was Pahla B's Body Shaping Day 23 Recovery Movement.
Ordinary day, not much to talk about.

Anita, glad you and Gus got in a walk before it got too hot. Hope you were able to get a passport picture done and your eye doctor appointment. We renewed our passports a couple years ago. As I recall it was no big deal but I'm sure everything has changed now. The time it takes to do anything, has gotten so much longer. Glad you found some pants to order.

Laura, glad you were able to check out South Pasadena, so many beautiful properties there. Hope you have a good flight home tomorrow. I need to go check out that picture.
