I liked both of these books.

I am about 1/3 of the way through The Dutch House by Ann Patchett and am liking it. I found it really slow in the beginning and kept falling asleep. Full disclosure: I attempted reading after long days of hiking during my vacation so I was really tired! I took advantage of the time without wifi on the trip home to really put some effort into reading it. I am looking forward to picking it up again after I catch up with post-vacation chores.

Thanks to Paine and DD546 for the Very Valentine mention -- I am listening to it as I commute and do chores and it's very fun. I'm taking a creative writing class and it's helping me notice all of the metaphors and similes this author uses. And I want to steal half of them.

I'm reading it for a book group. Based on what I've read so far, I think the discussion is going to be interesting!

I listened to this on audible. While I couldn’t stop listening, it left me a little sad.

I follow her blog, but not her podcast. She is responsible for a LOT of titles in my To Be Read list, and I really appreciate her newsletter with cheap Kindle and audio books!!!
