Workouts similar to the Tracy Anderson Method?

I like the idea of trying some TAM style videos, but don't enjoy her as an instructor. I'd love some help in finding other instructors to try with a similar style.

What appeals to you about her workouts? I used to be TAM curious but was totally put off by her personality and lack of instruction. I personally love Ellen Barrett and Jessica Smith, and am currently getting into Classical Stretch/ Essentrics. Barlates might appeal to you... Linda is a better instructor but her stuff is intimidating (for me).
She does have a lot of variety. Check YouTube for lots of free content from Linda and Jessica in particular. I'm sure others will chime in with better ideas...

Simone De La Rue has similar workouts. I think she used to work for Tracy Anderson, if I remember correctly. She has many workouts on YouTube.

Years ago I read that Tracy's system is actually based on the original Jane Fonda workout. Not the ones that followed that included more aerobics but the original 1982 video. You can still get this on DVD, and it's in a (not very high quality) version on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVrTxJcotFQ if you want to preview it.

I always thought of Pilates By Lisa as similar to TA because Lisa will rep you to death.

I immediately thought of Lisa, too. Lisa is more like 20 reps per exercise, not 50 each of multiple exercises on each leg before switching to the other side like Tracy, but similar in that she mixes in a lot of traditional lower body calisthenic moves into her Pilates.

And she is a much better instructor than Tracy who has nonexistent instruction.
I still use Lisa’s cues to get the most out of bridge lifts. I’d been doing them for decades without that level of activation.

For the cardio dance, I don’t know, but there are probably more options than there used to be when Tracy’s initial stuff came out.

I would second Body By Simone! She has a 14 day workout on YouTube. She has numerous dvds if you want to try before you do streaming. Which she just launched a new streaming platform as well.

Anna Kaiser is another Tracy Anderson offshoot. I have her dvd but must admit I haven't done it yet. LOL!

Tracy also based many of her movements on Pilates, Lotte Berk, and Callanetics. You may find dvds of some of these at your library.
