Has anyone tried acupuncture for PF?

If so what results did you see?

I have not had acupuncture, but I have had Intramuscular Stimulation aka IMS or dry needling. It is similar to acupuncture & was very effective. My PT told me part of my issue with PF originated in my lumbar spine from lumbar disc degeneration. He needled me from my foot all the way up to my lumbar spine. It wasn’t fun, but it worked.

One thing that I have found helpful is to wear shoes with lots of heel padding. Not just athletic shoes, but shoes you wear for work etc. Certainly doesn't cure the problem, but helps it.

If anyone has any suggestions for athletic shoe brands with good arch supports let me know.

Time to get serious about stretching!
I bought and tried several pairs of running shoes for my PF until I came across these: https://www.sportchek.ca/product/nik...B&gclsrc=aw.ds

Nike Zoom Super Rep shoes cured my very painful PF!

I have had great luck with Altra Paradigm. However, you must ease into wearing them. They are zero drop shoes which will keep your calf stretched. They are really cushy unlike most zero drop shoes. I think a lot of my problems come from tight calf muscles.

Instead of going barefoot around the house, I wear Birkenstock Shearling lined clogs.
