I will be using mostly the peloton app.

Yesterday I did a 10 minute floor poses routine with Kristin McGee and then a 5 minute calming meditation with Anna Greenberg.

I do plan on doing a combo of yoga/meditation each day. Probably shorter routines but some days I may go for the longer ones.

Just feels good to sit and relax.

I've often mentioned that I prefer structured, progressive programs rather than just doing random yoga classes. I also really enjoy using books. Recently, I've been enamored with Dean Pohlman's book "Yoga Fitness for Men" and I purchased his new release "Yoga for Athletes". I have definitely noticed improvements in my strength as well as my hip mobility. So I signed up for his "Mission: Daily Yoga" challenge (online; $9) which starts Jan 3. That gives me access to his full website/member's area thru the month of January, so I plan to also work through his "Strength Foundations" program. For now, I got started with his "Endurance for Standing" sequence from his book.

Anita, is doing structured programs just a preference, or do you notice particular benefits from practicing that way?

Rhonda, I like that you are incorporating daily meditation - I have gone through periods of meditating daily, but it's usually more like 1-2x/week. I do try to do simple breath focus when I'm lying in bed before going to sleep.

For anyone interested, here is a free yin pose/day challenge from Jose De Groot (I did an online training with her), although it doesn't start until January 10:

I went to your link, Beth, and clicked on learn more for the yin challenge (after choosing their highest privacy level) but can't get any info.

Anita - I played around with some of Dean's yoga on You Tube earlier this year - I did enjoy it and found it beneficial. So, thank you for "reminding" me of him. I may look into that challenge you mentioned.
