I did the upper body premix and it starts off with a lunge and single leg deadlift sequence. (It's also in the shoulder, triceps, chest premix. I notice it's not in the lower body premix. )

I swear I only felt it in my glutes. Not sure what I'm doing wrong

Anyway, thoroughly enjoyed. I took Fitboop's advice and did the pushups before the triceps...Thank you, Fitboop!

Cathe mentions at different points modifications and how to hold the band differently to increase or decrease the challenge. I had to drop the green band in some reps where it was doubled but definitely could go up or double bands in others (like the core work.) These fabric bands are excellent quality and thankfully don't catch and pull my hair like the regular ones do. I see lots of applications to add to pilates workouts or kettlebells. The set is just so visually appealing.

I'm very happy with my purchase and look forward to doing the loop workout.

Please explain
A premix is part of the workout rather than the entire workout. It usually includes a warm-up, the particular workout section(s) like just upper body or just lower body, and a cool down.

They film the entire workout and then split parts of it off, or edit different sections together, into different workouts and call them premixes.

Thank you. She has a fantastic page. It’s beautiful and it sure looks complicated.
I wish I were up to her speed, I’d sure join in.
Thank you.

Now why did you chose the dvd vs the on demand or Live is it?

Do the downloads also include files for the premixes?

I think I read somewhere that they don’t.

No, the downloads are just one file. I bought them because they’ll be good to take when we travel (on my iPad). And the bands will fit in my suitcase.

Did Boss Loops Glutes & Core this morning. I used the same bands as Cathe for the first time through. It's not a bad workout, I think I was expecting more. I really didn't feel much, the band seems a little to big unless I kept my thighs apart. Now maybe if I wear yoga pants instead of shorts that won't happen. I will try with the blue band and see if better. I know it was only the first time so I am hoping I will like better the next time. Going to try the other dvd tomorrow.

I enjoyed the boss bands workout. I am an int exerciser.
i agree with fitBoop on this comment:
Quote:
If you are doing the exercises with proper form, then you will feel the exercises in a big way, and will be working your muscles to fatigue. Many people do not use bands with proper form and do not realize it, until a personal trainer watches them and points out the corrections
I got a mirror at Miranda's suggestion during Essentrics and it has made a huge difference. I noticed I raised my shoulders a lot and that my hips were not in a good alignment during lunges. It has made a huge difference.
On some moves like stir the pot I am not getting as low and some overhead movements I will work up in band strength.
I like the bands as they are not hard on my hands.
