Message about Teresa Tapp

Just got this email:

Thank you for all of the emails, social media posts, and kind words. It means the world to Teresa’s family to see how much she is loved. As you can understand, the loss of our leader, teacher, friend, and mentor has devastated not just her husband Mark and family, but also all of us here at the T-Tapp office and community. It is never easy to lose a loved one, let alone a person who has changed so many lives.

Those who were fortunate to know Teresa will remember her unwavering commitment to people’s health and wellness by teaching them how to become the best they can be in body, mind, spirit, and soul.Teresa’s very sudden and unexpected passing sent a shockwave through her family, friends, and the entire T-Tapp community. Please know that Teresa was not dying. On August 31, 2018, through a routine CT scan of her gallbladder, Teresa found out that a tumor, which she had long before removed from her breast, had returned and metastasized into her liver. She had been having abdominal pain for barely two months but thought her gallbladder was inflamed, which prompted the CT scan. The doctors did not give Teresa a death sentence but encouraged her to do what Teresa does bestbtain the information to help heal the body.Through all of this, Teresa maintained her “Yes You Can” attitude and her future looked bright, as she drew from her massive knowledge pool of the body, resources, and professionals in the medical industry.

Only two weeks after finding out she was sick, on Sunday, September 16, Teresa was enjoying a day with friends and her husband. The next morning, she was barely conscious and brought to the hospital. The doctors explained that a build-up of ammonia in her system was the reason why Teresa could not form words or open her eyes, however, after the medication treated the excess ammonia, Teresa should get better. They said if everything went well, she would be out of the hospital in less than a week. However, to everyone’s shock, Teresa never regained the ability to open her eyes or speak, with one exception:She said, “I love you” to her husband.Teresa was never left alone for one minute during the four days she fought so hard to remain here with us.Surrounded by family and those who loved her, our dear Teresa Tapp passed away in her husband’s arms on September 20, 2018.

It was Teresa’s desire for her staff, which grew up helping her achieve the success of T-Tapp, to continue the T-Tapp vision into the future. As such, Brian and Jennifer, who were like children to her, have assumed the role of President and Vice President.Brian and Jennifer have been instrumental in the growth and success of T-Tapp for 20 years and are well equipped to carry on her legacy. You may rest assured that Brian and Jennifer are committed to running T-Tapp based on the same values that inspired Teresa.Their combined strengths of technology, management, business, and customer service will make T-Tapp stronger than ever.

Teresa was always extremely thorough with her trainer certification process, which has produced exceptional trainers who are more than qualified and equipped to continue teaching and training T-Tappers.Teresa also spent years mentoring select individuals in filming videos, creating new T-Tapp movements, and certifying new trainers. She did everything she could to ensure T-Tapp would not stall or slow down if she chose to retire or if anything were to happen to her.

We are planning a celebration of Teresa’s extraordinary life for the T-Tapp community. The service will not be a funeral; it will be a place where the T-Tapp community can get together and honor Teresa.Teresa’s family will be having a private spreading of her ashes in the autumn. The service will be approximately 1 hour long, and appetizers will be provided. However, the room is reserved much longer so people may gather, grieve, and celebrate Teresa together. The service will take place at the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa, Saturday, October 6 at 1:00 pm in the Bayshore conference room. The address is 105 North Bayshore Drive, Safety Harbor, FL 34695.Unfortunately, the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa is completely sold out of rooms for the weekend of October 6, 2018, however there are other nearby hotels to accommodate everyone.

In order to help us prepare for the service, please be so kind as to RSVP to the service at celebratingteresa@t-tapp.com.

On a final note, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to help fight and spread awareness of both cancer metastasis and Cushing’s Syndrome. All donations will go into a fund that has been set up to distribute to Metastasis Research Society (www.metastasis-research.org), as well as the EPIC Foundation (www.epictogether.org), where Teresa poured so much love into the chronic illness community. She impacted The EPIC Foundation and those with Cushing’s Syndrome so much with her knowledge of the body and love of people that she is going to be their first recipient of a Legacy Award.

Please make all donations through the following link:

Wow, how shocking and heartbreaking for her family.

I never clicked with her method, but I certainly appreciate her dedication and passion, as well as the love & devotion she inspired!
