Talking Skip the exercising, just take a hot bath!

This week I have seen a few articles referencing this study:

"The health benefits of passive heating and aerobic exercise: To what extent do the mechanisms overlap?"
https://journals.physiology.org/doi/...iol.00608.2020

(I'll admit I didn't read this whole article below. It was too long!)

"Can’t face running? Have a hot bath or a sauna – research shows they offer some similar benefits"
https://theconversation.com/cant-fac...enefits-158552

That will be good news the those who hate exercising! Just hop into a hot bath or sauna!

I know my girlfriend used a sauna two or three times a week, in addition to strength training and running, and she swore by it.

Some countries do the "hot sauna, cold dunk" thing.

I have had the opportunity to try that. But I didn't. I'm not much for the cold part.

I've heard fitness gurus rave about all the benefits of cold water immersion, everything from reducing inflammation, getting rid of pains, increased mental clarity and focus... and yet I stand at the edge of my pool in the winter, and have never convinced myself to take the plunge.

This is funny because I bumped I to an article that cited all sorts of studies to health benefits of cold showers. Even heard a podcast mention that it could help you with living longer. Here's one article
