Thanks, Beth! I will try them out. It's so hard to sort everything out when I have so many issues going on and an exercise to help one thing might exacerbate another. When I was going to PT in January 2020 for hip pain and an extremely tight QL, one of the exercises she gave me was a modified single-leg deadlift. Well, now that the HHT is hurting so badly, that is not a happy exercise for it! Sitting in simple cross legged style feels fine while I'm doing it but when I get up that bad hip is so stiff and sore that I limp for several steps. Sometimes I feel like a trainwreck! I think I need a PT Sadhana! I know I have to be diligent about it but haven't been. Today I don't even think I will try my run bc the tendon is hurting so bad. Sigh. Why did I do those stupid splits that started all these problems in 2009??? Okay, ending pity party NOW!

I’m sorry you’re having ongoing difficulties Vannie! I do have my share of “torture devices”, lol! I’ve had SI dysfunction a few times, not fun! I’ve even resorted to using an SI belt and that was very helpful. Thankfully it’s been a while! I have a yoga wheel & agree that the chirp wheel looks virtually the same. It is pretty intense & I haven’t used mine in a while. I have some lumbar disc degeneration and my back tells me that deep backbends are off the menu for now. I love supported fish pose. And I often do a yin reclined half double pigeon, I stop at her step one & don’t use a knee support. I hold it for several minutes. I agree with Beth, find a variation that feels good.

Thanks Ilde! My stuff is definitely low-tech compared to some of the other YT channels out there, but people seem to like it. Also, I take requests! If there is anything you'd like to see, let me know and I will try to accommodate.

ETA - Vannie, yes, definitely multiple things going on as we get older!

Thanks, everyone! I'll try some things and see what works. Surprisingly nothing hurt on our walk. I did go a bit slower bc I wasn't sure where there might be slick spots.

This wheel is tempting me.

I ended up taking a rest day yesterday, just our walks and some light housework. My hamstrings are feeling much better, I suspect a combo of the rest day and the PT exercises the day before, but my back got worse after sitting on the floor with Cyric. It is still cranky. Today I did a little massage with a partially deflated small peanut that I think came with a Gaiam DVD for back. The YTU balls were too hard for my pain level. I did some exercises from the Tone & Tighten YouTube channel and then did Slim Series Cool It Off Express bc I remembered it has some different stretches that are nice for my SI pain. Unfortunately I'm still hurting. I didn't have the pages linked while I was in my gym so I haven't tried them yet. But I am thankful my hammies are feeling better and that I can still go for walks!

Day 60:
~Yoga & Muscle Release (YT) - This was a nice short practice with some lovely stretches & a little gentle foot, leg, & shoulder ball massage. It was by an Essentrics buddy & mentor who did my level 1 Essentrics exam in Tulsa back in 2017.

Woo hoo, we made it to 60 Ilde!

Vannie - That wheel looks interesting. If you decide to buy, let us know how you like it.

Will do, Pam! I also meant to ask you, there are so many SI belts. What brand is yours?
