Bumping so this thread is above the June one. Since Sydney says the first phase of Summertime is unilateral work, I will do Caroline's week of unilateral work before moving onto phase 2. Based on the amount of lunges I'm guessing my weight will be low and I will be humbled.

Lunges is smthg I should really do more of. I didn't give it much thought till I was doing a TTSL workout that had them. They're not my favorite exercise so probably means I need to do them more!

I never did pick a challenge for the 4th. I do better if it's not just me choosing bc I hate making decisions.

Did we say we are doing a virtual 5k at the end of July?

The plan is Saturday, July 31, 2021. We did Sat, Aug 1, 2020, so it's roughly the same weekend.

I will be able to do it, but it will be slower than last year for sure. Maybe I'll pretend I'm trying to catch buffmama.

Okay, that's what I was thinking. I guess I was too lazy to look back and find which thread we talked about it on! I'll be ready. Oh shoot. I may have to do mine on Sunday. We have a Ren Fest on Saturday.

I work Sat and may prefer Sunday as well. I was thinking about going to the track again like I did last year. I've decided to imagine we're all running astride.

Yesterday's workouts: Before breakfast I did a 15 minute Leslie walk that showed up in my YT notifications the other day and a 10 minutes Kassandra yoga practice. In the afternoon I did glute activation, swing challenge day 4, Crossrope challenge day 4, TTSL weekly workout #183 The Git Up scaled (4 RFT: 11 seated pullups, 12 plank burpees, 13 med ball tossups), TurboFire Stretch 10, 1 mi run and Kassandra's Evening Yoga Movement day 6.

Getting myself to do anything has been a struggle but I did finally get some housework done today. Haven't worked out yet but I WILL!

Finished my 30 day challenge from Balanced to the Core. Liked that they were shorter workouts, today's workout was much tougher than the rest. Some of the newer ones I'm looking at are longer. I'll have to figure out where to fit them in. Was hoping to get a hike in Sunday but with rain in the forecast for the next few days that might not happen.

Vannie - What's TTSL?

Helen - Hope you're enjoying your time off.

Sandy - How are Katya's latest?

Buff, it's Thick Thighs Save Lives. That's the name of the podcast put out by CVG (Constantly Varied Gear). They sell workout clothes (lots of skulls which is so me but I can't justify $50 or whatever it is for leggings and stuff ) and have an app where people talk about the clothes (of course) but also post their workouts. They also put out workouts through an e-book you can buy, a daily TTSL program to pay for, and weekly giveaway workouts. The weekly workouts are free and can be found in the app but also on their YouTube channel. I found the app through the podcast when I listened to their episode on the Murph. I downloaded it to get the training schedule I used for Murph.
