Today I did a 20-minute Fitness Blender no equipment upper body workout, but it also included some core and lower body. And we walked quite far.
We went to the town on the other side of the river from Porto. We did a bit of the touristy thing, walking along the river where the street vendors and touristy restaurants and port wine houses are. It's also where you can take boat tours on the port boats, but we didn't do that today. We did ride on a cable car, which DD was ecstatic about (except when DH was trying to scare us by shaking it), and we walked across the bridge designed by Gustavo Eiffel (of the Eiffel Tower).
Tomorrow we are going to look at an apartment that another American is leaving, to see if it will work for us longterm. We also plan to take a train to other parts of Portugal to be sure this is the spot for us. We love Porto, but it is expensive compared to most other areas as far as home prices are concerned.
Lynn, the PT sounds like quite a time commitment! All of my dumbbells and my rack are in our storage unit in Nashville, and they will come over in the shipping container when our piano and other music gear comes. So I will have them within a couple of months. But for now I'm just trying to keep something going with body weight. I do have my yoga mat and some bands. The pike pushups etc. are not without challenge, so I think it's helping, at least.
Cynthia, your chiro sounds like she is worth her weight in gold. It's good that you have her around!
Linda, I'm glad the cortisone helped you. I have had mixed results with that It hurt bad and didn't help my tendonitis, but it did help my frozen shoulder.
Diana, I hope the weather cools down for you soon!
