mamaste, thanks for the info on 361 shoes. I have seen them but didn't realize the founder was a former Brooks designer. Brooks are my favorite brand of shoe since they tend to offer a wider toe box than many other brands. I don't have wide feet, but a wider toe box fits my somewhat wonky feet. I also like Saucony.

Personally I haven't found a pair of cross trainers/studio shoes that have enough cushioning to be comfortable for higher impact workouts or HiiT. I wear running shoes. I do plenty of choreography and haven't found the tread to be a hindrance. I may have learned to compensate over the years. I slip on our hardwood floor if my shoes don't have proper tread.

I love Nike cross trainers. I found my latest pair at Sportsbasement, but you can find them anywhere that has athletic shoes.

They only sell online, which is why I am hesitant to try them.
I like 361 too!!!! They aren't well known but are light stable and cushioned.

Decided to order a pair. Fingers crossed that I like them. Thanks for the recommendation.

My old New Balance cross-trainers are probably 15 years old. Every few years I try several brands and they just don't feel right.

It's probably time to try again...

I have Mizunos and like them a lot. They have a nice amount of cushion and support for my foot. I found a good price for them on Amazon after searching around. I always go up one size in them and my running shoes. Seems that is pretty standard for shoes these days.

I got a great deal from Amazon too but they’re way too small. When I try to order the next size up, they are on delayed shipping and double the price. Disappointing!

I wore Avia crosstrainers for years and years, but decided to try something else a few months ago. I bought Hoka One Tivra and I love them! Quite a bit more expensive than the Avia's (like 3x the price), so I hope they last.

I only wear them for strength training. (with my custom orthotics)

The Ryka Devotion XTs arrived today. They are very cushy.
