DVD player with USB Port

I need a new dvd player. Does anyone have a dvd player that has a usb port that will play MP4 files? I have a lot of my dvds on a usb and would like to play them that way if possible. I bought one today (LG), but it will only read MP3 files and I don't want to convert my files. TIA.

My Sony Blu Ray/DVD player, Model # BDP-56500 will play a USB.

Looks like I have to get a blu-ray player in order to do this. Didn't realize that they were that pricey. I have one usb port on my tv but it's hard to get to so that is why I figured a dvd player with usb would be easier.

Maybe a USB extension cord would work? Just make the port more accessible?

My tvs (Samsung, LG) have usb ports that play mp4s/mp3s. That was prime consideration in choosing a tv.

I literally just bought this DVD player a couple weeks ago and it has a USB port. It is not a blu ray player. It's $49 now, the price had gone down to $44 when I bought it. I have not used the USB port yet, but I imagine it probably does the job.
