need help finding old thread

Happy Saturday! I'm trying to find a way to down load youtube videos onto my computer. I thought there was an old post but can't find it. I need one compatible w/ mozilla. Is there anything out there. Do you guys remember?

Here is one thread that talked about it. You can download a free version of YouTube Downloader to download the videos then burn them with DVD Flick which is also free.

I use Orbit with Grab+, works really well (free, no spam, no ads). The files are saved as *.flv, which I then use Free FLV Converter to change to either *.avi or *.wmv, then load them into a movie maker programme & burn to disc as a video.

Download Helper works well with Firefox but I prefer Realplayer for downloading which works with most browsers and is the simplest way to download video IMHO. DVD Flick will burn the downloaded files to dvd without having to convert them.

I am forever grateful to Barb for teaching me how to do this! I like Real Player, it's easy for those of us who are techy-challenged.

youtube downloader works for me when realplayer doesn't.
