Great voice, great posture, just very regal bearing all around. Handsome. Born to play authority figures with a quiet heart of gold. I'm still really mourning this one.

They divorced in the 1980s, and he is currently married to Shelley Fabares.

That's cool that you got to go to games with Bud! He sounded like a great guy and was admired by many! I would have cheered for the Vikings, (if they'd been in a Super Bowl) as a previous Minnesota resident. I had no idea who Bud was, but it's awesome that you knew him! The Packers and Vikings had quite the rivalry. ;-)

Any Mad Magazine fans will be sad to know Al Jaffee died at the age of 102. In addition to his satirical comics he was famous for the fold-in page.

I wonder if such a fun career and laughing outlook is what got him to age 102?

I grew up on Soap Operas, watching them with my mom. Guiding Light, ATWT. I still watch Y&R today. For the As the World turns fans, Elizabeth Hubbard (the wonderful Lucinda Walsh) died this week at 89.

I remember him from the Fran Tarkenton days. He was a gentleman in the midst of some brutish coaches. RIP.
