ZUMBA: Advanced 2004, 37mins + ZUMBA: Beginners 2004, 18mins (v). Finally decided to try the Beginners workout, lead by Beto, and it is actually a good, quick “gotta get some steps” workout, approx, 1732 steps. I’m going to rotate this in more often. P.M.

AMY DIXON; Breathless Body Vol 3: HiiT It Big + CIZE: Hold Your Own. Eight drills of 40/20 x 4, 4 mins metabolic blast + core. I remember doing BBV3 at least once, I also remember why it’s not a fav. I don’t like a lot of the exercises, some feel awkward, and are not great for 40 secs at a time. I’m sick of jumping jack type moves, so any done for 40 seconds, is 30 seconds too long. It was just ok to me, got a nice sweat, worked the core a little, was able to woolgather while Amy demo’d the core move and then a stretch, that I didn’t like either. Lol. So, did my own thing.

CIA 2904 - KIMBERLY SPREEN: Cardio Combat Surge, 90 mins , maybe a virgin. I don’t recall doing this workout before although I’ve had it since it was first released. Someone mentioned this on GD so I added it to my “to do pile”. Anyway, loved it. There are timesaver options. A med ball and body bar is used, I used my 10 # Firm barbell and my 6# med ball, neither felt too heavy. Chapters are warm-up, med ball segment, cardio kickbox/surge, body bar, med ball/lunge segment, cardio kickbox, body bar/surge, stretch, fusion stretch, Lots of sweat. Oh, and good music! I ordered Cathe’s STS Bar/dip. Yeah, Jen’s tutorial sealed it for me, who knew? It shipped today, scheduled to arrive next Tuesday. ♥️

AMY DIXON: Super Fit Bod. The first and last time I did this workout was 8/15/21. It is excellent. Total body metabolic circuits alternated with athletic cardio using a step. I used a 6# db because I wasn’t sure what Amy was using, other than a tiny weight. I can definitely go higher but it is high rep as well. Strong music and a nice substitute for Cathe’s Afterburn/Athletic Training. P.M.

Yv2: SS. It was 60 degrees today so went for a walk around the lake at a nearby park. A lot of biting gnats were out but a perfect day for a walk, with winds at 7mph.

TURBO FIRE: Low Hiit 25 (virgin, which is actually a 20 minute workout) + CIZE: Turn It On. Another fun TF. I am so sore from Jari’s Ripped & Chiseled. Decluttering - 4 boxes/ 2 bins.

CATHE: High Step Circuit + CIZE: Hold Your Own. P.M.
Yv2: WISI. Today, I moved the bags/boxes of donations for Salvation Army/Goodwill and rearranged my workout space to make (uncluttered) room for my STS bars. When nestled, the bars don’t take up any more room than my rebounder, when I have it propped against a wall. I considered buying the equipment cart that was posted in GD but I’m going to wait until I’ve gone through everything on the unfinished side of my basement, and then decide if it’s something I really want, or need.
17. 4 Day Weekend! TGIF!!!
TURBO JAM: Cardio Party Mix 1 + CIZE: Get Into It. Made a trip to Sam’s. If I were rich, I’d probably buy everything in Sam’s. My house would have to be as a big as a warehouse too. 😵*💫

R.I.P.P.E.D. + CIZE: Hold Your Own. 3rd time doing R.I.P.P.E.D., solid intermediate. I did the abs this time, which is standing with a towel; lots of fun. Fun fact, the leads, Terri & Tina Shorter, are in the Turbo Jam workouts.

rest day…. Tornado warnings. It was 72 degrees today, sirens, lots of rain and winds. Surprisingly, I’m feeling that Essentrics workout today, ummm, will circle back and do it again. It didn’t feel like much as I was doing it but something was happening…
Week 11

AMY DIXON: Breathless Body Vol 4: Going Strong. Thankfully, this wasn’t as hard as I remembered it being, more of a metabolic routine. 8 rounds: lite strength 45:15, heavy strength 30:30, cardio 15:15 x 3. After the 8 rounds, a metabolic finisher which is all 8 cardio’s done for 15 seconds each, followed by core, 5 exercises, 1 minute each, and then a nice stretch. Nice little sweat situation. P.M.
CIZE: Hold Your Own. So I ordered Cathe’s door anchor. I inspected my set up (Beach Body door attachment/B line tubing) after viewing Jen’s video. My tubing is badly scored and cracked in multiple places. So a new door anchor, to use with my new Cathe tubing, was in order.

SUSAN CHUNG: Rapid Fire 4 - Sweat (virgin, 75mins). Consists of w/u, 3 Kickboxing Combos, 3 Boxing Combos, Abs/Core, Stretch. Great music, fun combos that has a slight learning curb the first time, but not exceedingly long like some of the Powerstrike combos. I liked the core work a lot and will do it again, simple but very effective, working lower, middle, upper abs. I like the workout so much that I’m adding it to my stack of fav kickboxing DVDs.

JARI LOVE: Get Extremely Ripped 1000. I enjoyed this but it felt more like a cardio workout. Hard to use heavy weights with the way the combo moves are structured. Good music though.
