september 2022…

Week 5
1. XTRAIN: Burn Sets - Chest, Back & Shoulders (w/u, 1 Round each body part, c/d) + KATHY SMITH Tummy Trimmers - Standing Abs. P.M. LEE HOLDEN QG30DC - Day 1 + COUNTRY HEAT: Trail Ride Surprise, I really enjoyed Country Heat today with the music louder option. Autumn’s constant counting fades to the background with this option.
2. XTRAIN: Cardio Leg Blast (premix 1-6) + LEE HOLDEN QG30DC - Day 2. P.M. COUNTRY HEAT: Country Swing. Nick & another person from Leslie’s workouts are part of the crew in this workout. Autumn is so stiff. She has actual dancers working with her, they would have been better leads. Julie, the modifier is more natural than Autumn. I’ve been doing Country Heat 5 to 10 minutes at a time to boost step count. Lots of stepping side to side while we watch Autumn do basic moves, so the workouts are not strenuous at all. This one is not a favorite, music isn’t as fun as the music in Trail Ride. I used the Turn It up option but I could still hear Autumn way too clearly in this one. I know, I know, I should stop witching and just do the workouts…
3. COUNTRY HEAT: Giddy Up + XTRAIN: Biceps & Triceps (1-5 premix) + LEE HOLDEN: QG30DC - Day 3 + COUNTRY HEAT: Down & Dirty. What is happening? CH is starting to grow on me. Country music is not my cup of tea, except for pop/country, but personal preferences aside, the music in the CH workouts are really good.
4. PEAK FIT SYSTEM: Cardio Interval Burn (w/u, 10-6, stretch) + COUNTRY HEAT: Bring the Heat + LEE HOLDEN: QG30DC - DAY 4. Finished watching For All Mankind on Apple TV +, started watching it on a whim, and it is excellent. I had quite a few nights of staying up until 2am watching because it was so riveting.
5. TAE BO: Flex Express, 20 mins + LIS: Cardio Supersets Express 1-4 Premix + JESSICA SMITH: Tummy Toners - Abs & Waist Definer + LEE HOLDEN: QG30DC - Day 5
6. LEE HOLDEN: QG30DC - Day 6

Week 6
7. ELEMENT: Ballet Conditioning, virgin (Stretches & Thigh Work + Streamlining Extension & Gluteal Work Chapters) + LEE HOLDEN: QG30DC - DAY 7. I enjoyed Ballet Conditioning but I ran out of time. Shout out to ASAS - I bought BC because of you. ❤️ P.M. COUNTRY HEAT: Trail Ride
8. TAE BO: Cardio + LEE HOLDEN QG30DC - Day 8. So far, all the the GoodTimes Tae Bo workouts have good music. I counted all my Tae Bo DVDs and I have 43 (actually 45, but 2 don’t count ‘cause they’re awful), some with multiple workouts. I’m going to work my way through all the workouts. P.M. CIZE: Crazy 8’s
9. rest day…
10. TAE BO: Capture the Power - Foundation (virgin) + XTRAIN: Chest, Back, Shoulders Timesaver 1-4 Premix . I almost didn’t do Foundation but then thought, WTH, it doesn’t hurt to revisit Tae Bo form pointers occasionally. Excellent form pointers. Workout is 66mins, Upperbody, Lowerbody & Stretch. The upper body segment goes over the 4 basic punches (front, cross, round, upper). The lower body segment goes over form for front kick, roundhouse, side kick, back kick. The upper/lower has no music, just Billy (+ Shelly + 1) going into detail about the right way to execute punches and kicks and then everything done at tempo. I thought I would be bored but not at all. The stretch is the best that I’ve ever seen in a Tae Bo workout. It’s a great full body stretch with good music, 20 minutes. No chapters so I’d have to fast forward to the 46 minute point to do the stretch again. Mid-day: LEE HOLDEN: QG30DC - Day 9 & Day 10. P.M. CIZE: You Got This (+ Cize It Up x2). Love!
11. CIZE: Full Out + LEE HOLDEN QG30DC - Day 11 + XTRAIN: Burn Sets Biceps & Triceps . P.M. TAE BO Capture The Power: Energy
12. BILLY’S BOOTCAMP: Ultimate Bootcamp (virgin) + LEE HOLDEN QG30DC - Day 12. P.M. CIZE: Crazy 8s + LEE HOLDEN QG30DC - Day 13
13. rest day…

Week 7
14. XTRAIN: Biceps & Triceps Timesaver 1-5 premix + CIZE: All Out. Mid-day: COUNTRY HEAT: Wild Goose Chase (virgin) + LEE HOLDEN QG30DC: Day 14
15. XTRAIN: Legs (standing only) + ZUMBA JTP: 20 Minute Express + LEE HOLDEN QG30DC - Day 15. P.M. COUNTRY HEAT: Dance Mash-up (virgin)
16. TAE BO: Capture The Power - Power, 45 mins (virgin) + LEE HOLDEN QG30DC - Day 16. Tae Bo Power uses .5# mini balls, I used 1 # balls and they burned like crazy. Billy refused to say Tae Bo balls (snicker), he kept saying Tae Bo tool (snicker). Good workout, good balance of punches/kicks, nice stretch, strong music, great energy, good pep talk. Mid-afternoon: Yv2: WISI
17. TAE BO: Billy’s Favorite Moves + XTRAIN: Chest, Back, Shoulders (Timesaver 1-4) + LEE HOLDEN: QG30DC - Day 17

24. XTRAIN: Burn Sets - Chest, Back & Shoulders + TAE BO: Max Intensity + LEE HOLDEN: QG30DC - Day 24
P.M. CIZE: Work Your Body w/Chilli of TLC fame (30 mins, virgin) + Hold Your Own (15 mins, virgin). I love ALL of the Cize workouts. They’re so much fun with fantastic music. Love ❤️

Happy Labor Day!! We are having record breaking temps this week so I am looking forward to the weather cooling off. I need to get back to my daily walks!

bex - I saw there are more lockdowns in China. Does this affect you? I sure hope not.

Luv2wo Thanks for asking. No, the lockdowns are in other cities. Shanghai continues to be mostly normal life.

A lot of control measures are still in place (constant testing, checking health codes when you enter a public space) but people are relaxing a bit.

School started as usual last week, which is a BIG relief for parents. Fingers crossed it continues!!

That's great to hear! Glad you have some normalcy now, and I hope things continue to improve. It's been such a hard few years for everyone.

My son did online school the last two years through our school district and just went back to in-person 4th grade three weeks ago. Talk about a major adjustment for him. He is struggling but I am hoping with time it will get easier. Heck, when I had to go back to work ONE day a week I struggled. Definitely strange times.

Bex, glad to hear your city is not locked down.

Luv2WO, my DD is on 4th grade too! She did school at home the first year the covid started, and went back to school last year wearing a mask the whole year, she was tired of the mask but apart of that, I was more worry for the whole situation than her, she was happy to see her friends at school again. Hope your son can adapt soon and enjoy his time at school.
