Another "are you kidding me?" exercise gadget

When I was a kid, this was known as a "toy". Today it's an "upper body shaper" complete with DVDs.

Seriously, what does this do that a plain old rubber band does not? Couldn't they at least put fan blades on it, so it can cool you off while you sweat profusely?

Too funny-

I guess I should have kept my old "kerbangers"(I think that's what they were called.) That gave you a good arm workout too

ETA:
Yep. Here's a photo:

I remember those! They were sold as Clackers, and were swiftly banned from the school playground. But they were fun!

What's next, a 10-pound Whee-lo? That's sure to make your arms ripped and toned.

I want an adult size Sit-N-Spin and a Big Wheel with adjustable seat. Then I can work off all those calories from my Easy Bake Oven My poor brother always lost his lunch on the Sit-n-Spin so it could be very effective appetite reduction for some folks. Nothing like nausea to keep the calories down LOL

PS- Didn't know what a whee-lo was so I googled it

I saw a TV programme about Forbes Riley trying to get this thing on the market. It was an episode of show called 'PitchMen'. The episode was called 'Spinning Green', and apparently was the only episode of the show that resulted in unsuccessful product. Everyone tried to tell her there was no market for this at the price she wanted to sell it. She had her way, and had a failed product. Looks like she's still trying, though!

Taiga, your post made me google up whether there is such a thing as an adult Sit-n-spin (oh how I loved mine). And I found one! It, uh, kind of looks like you might need a tetanus shot before use but the VW steering wheel was a nice nostalgic touch.

I was actually going to post the same comment when I saw it on HSN! I was speechless, which is not often. I couldn't remember the womans name so I didn't post. They were actually selling thousands? Is it "Make it & they will buy it?" How can people be so lame?
