Question Any experiences with TileFlex Flooring?

Hi VFers I need your help.

A broken pipe has ruined the carpet in my exercise/hobby room and it needs to be replaced. I don't want to put down more carpet and am curious about the Great Mat products TileFlex and Max Flex.

http://www.greatmats.com/products/max-tile.php

Does anyone have any experiences with either of these?

It's quite a large room and I only workout in about half of it so I need flooring that is multi-purpose. I don't do a lot of high impact cardio.

Any comments or suggestions are appreciated.

TIA,

Cynthia

I don't have any experience with this, but it looks nice!

This was my Christmas present this year. I LOVE it. I put it over my puzzle mats.

Interesting Patrice that you put it over your puzzle mats.

I'm looking to do a permanent installation. Most likely I'll be investing in floor mats too no matter which flooring I choose.

I didn't want it to be permanent. In my last two houses I put in stage step flooring and had to leave it behind. With this flooring I can take it with me.

The installation says to use rubber underlayment. I already had the puzzle mats.

Well that makes sense, I don't know how I'd feel if I had to leave this behind, but I'll have to invest in the rubber underlayment as well.

I do have a second, less used workout space with puzzle mats over concrete. I was thinking if I really liked the product I would consider a temporary installation like you have.

Patrice - Which kind of flooring did you get - TileFlex or Max Flex? I'm considering getting one or the other and I'm curious which one you chose and why.

Thanks!
