Self 2003 Challenge

I got my Self Magazine in the mail today. I am signing up to do the Challenge again this year. Is anyone else interested in starting a check-in? I already exercise more than the log says but it helps with the motivation at this time of year. You can reply here or send me a pm.

I am going to pick up a copy and possibly join you. I started one year and then got ill. But it seemed like a good plan.

Cheers,

I'll Bite

I have started the challenge for 4 years in a row now and never completed it for one reason or another. One year I got to the final 2 weeks and then moved into our new house - cablooey!

This year I am training for a marathon so I don't doubt I will hit the cardio targets and I really should be lifting weights and stretching more so count me in for a check-in.

I've signed up too!

I signed up in previous years and then dropped out because I forget to fill in the log!

Do we start March 1st?

It'll be great to have a checkin!

I was actually going to start on Monday. If you don't have the magazine yet, I can tell you the amount of time you're supposed to spend exercising. It's not that much time. It's 30 min cardio, 3 times a week, 20 min strength training 2x a week and 10 min stretching 2x a week. So I was going to start the check-in on March 2 for the previous week.

I'm in too!

I've never done the challenge before, so this should be interesting. I just signed up and printed out the log.

Nat & Janet B: The start date listed on the website is Feb 24, next Monday.

Later, taters!

Yes, the starting date is Feb 24 (Monday) and the first check-in will be Sunday March 2 for the previous week. So start your challenge this Monday ladies. Now I'll have to do cardio. No more slacking off.

If I say yes, does that mean I get to have a check-in? I am in the market for a new one :-)

I was planning a Joyce rotation, but by day 2 it was feeling a bit rigid. So maybe this Self thign will work better. I can still do Joyce workouts---you are allowed to go voer the time it gies you, right? SO I could do 4 Joyce workouts at 20 minutes each to work the body twice per week?

So this means I have to do cardio, right? *Groan* Look at what you're getting me into. I hope you're all proud of yourselves :-)
