I need to work this in to my current rotation of FE--one very good thing about Bum Bum is that it's only 30 minutes. The first time I did it I planned on tacking on some cardio after and.....no way, no how was I doing anything else after that workout!

Me too! I did Bum Bum for the first time in several months and it was like I was wearing bike shorts made out of pain for the next three days. Not the worst DOMS I've ever had, but definitely the most comprehensive in terms of area covered.

Funny you should start this thread Susan because I did Bum Bum yesterday too, and while doing it I thought of you and that long BBL thread you started when this system first came out. Prior to yesterday I only did Bum Bum once before, because I also felt it had a major dread factor to it. I didn't realize how much of an intense cardio workout it was! Since that time I've done stuff like Cathe's HIIT and Plyo legs workouts, as well as Insanity and running. Thankfully, my cardio endurance has improved and it made Bum Bum more tolerable this time - to the point where I could focus on really squeezing my bum bum during the exercises. I don't have DOMS today, but it usually doesn't hit me until 48 hours after. So, I may be in for a surprise tomorrow. Anyway, I'm looking forward to doing it again!

I'm such a wimp, I only do Bum Bum Rapido, the 10 minute version of bum bum, and that gets my heartrate going pretty good. I usually combine it with some barre work. I think I'm ready to cautiously try out the Bum Bum Live now.

I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for other workouts similar in style to bum bum that are bodyweight (or light weight) only and get the heartrate soaring like it does.
