How do you feel about "personal" posts?

VF has been home for many of us for decades. It's not hard to want to share life's triumphs and tragedies here. An example I've seen here is the sad loss of a pet. I've posted when I've lost a pet and the kind and sympathetic replies help ease the pain.

I also posted when there was a tarantula in my house. VF was very active then. I received a lot of replies. (And, then I had to go catch the darn thing and take it outside.)

I don't mind personal posts about personal problems here. I can choose to read them or not. I do see where some folks do not like to see personal and/or off-topic posts.

Let's face it, VF is not so busy anymore that the occasional personal post is going to clog up the forum.

Anyway, how do YOU feel about VFers posting personal issues and problems?
