Separated shoulder?

Has anyone ever had this before? What did you do for rehab?

Ouch! I haven't had this happen, but I hope you can get some good advice. Have you seen a doctor or physical therapist?

I ignored mine thinking the bump I had on my shoulder was just a cyst. Doctor said there’s not too much to do to correct it other than prevention through physical therapy after a period of rest. It’s been 4 weeks now and am trying to schedule PT. I know I have weak serratus and lat muscles (winging in push-ups) so in the mean time I’m working on trying to improve strength.

I had this many years ago after falling off of my bike onto my shoulder. Fortunately, mine was diagnosed right away. For the first few weeks (about 6-8 weeks I think it was) I didn't do any exercises with the shoulder at all because it needed to heal. I wore my arm in a sling part of the time, but I was told not to do that 24/7 because it was important for the rest of my arm to move around and not atrophy. Once you get PT scheduled they will be able to advise you. In the meantime I really wouldn't try any upper body exercises until you can get some professional advice.
