We pulled out a bunch of comedy dvds to watch through the weekend, including The Odd Couple tv series, which is a big favorite of ours.

My husband has a warped sense of humor and was planning to watch the movie "Soylent Green" after I went to bed. No thanks!

Yes, Mindy has a colorfully fun wardrobe in The Mindy Project. I have seen Four Weddings and a Funeral mini-series but have not watched Champions. Thanks for the recommendation!

I'm going to check that out ( if available in Canada). Mindy made me a huge fan in a single scene of the office - during the CPR demo!

I would recommend The Office too. Just watched it last year - don't know why I resisted so long.

One other sanity measure I am taking is to only listen to the news for 10 min 2x/day ( as others have mentioned). Mind you this is probably always good advice.

I'm taking walks outside, and working out in my home gym. We're fortunate that we are used to working out at home and have equipment. Working out is especially important now, to keep our moods up, have some control over our health and lives, and burn off the excess calories we might be eating .

I am only checking the headlines a couple of times per day. Most of the anxiety-provoking news is speculation. So, it's better to know the facts and skip the rest, imo.

I've been getting a lot done. I cleaned, did paperwork, and cooked. I had to cancel my June concert, but I am fine with rescheduling it for the fall. I am also writing a book, and finally have time to focus on it.

I'm also watching reruns of What Not to Wear.

One thought that helps is, "This too shall pass.". Life is about change and uncertainty. It's natural to worry and be afraid of the future when bad things are happening and they are beyond our control. As bad as things seem now, some day, they will be a distant memory.
