I'm taking walks outside, and working out in my home gym. We're fortunate that we are used to working out at home and have equipment. Working out is especially important now, to keep our moods up, have some control over our health and lives, and burn off the excess calories we might be eating .
I am only checking the headlines a couple of times per day. Most of the anxiety-provoking news is speculation. So, it's better to know the facts and skip the rest, imo. I've been getting a lot done. I cleaned, did paperwork, and cooked. I had to cancel my June concert, but I am fine with rescheduling it for the fall. I am also writing a book, and finally have time to focus on it. I'm also watching reruns of What Not to Wear. One thought that helps is, "This too shall pass.". Life is about change and uncertainty. It's natural to worry and be afraid of the future when bad things are happening and they are beyond our control. As bad as things seem now, some day, they will be a distant memory. |
