Crossrope—Jumping Rope—Love it

Hi to all!

Just thought I’d share how much I am enjoying Crossrope Jump ropes and the associated APP.

The ropes themselves are very expensive but worth it IMO if you want a quick, hard, interval workout.

The ropes are weighted and its a very different experience than regular jump roping. I have the ropes up to 3lbs.

I bought them primarily to use at lunchtime when working, and I try to jump 5 times a week for HIIT cardio. Very portable. I LOVE IT. My knees can tolerate it without a problem.

I’ve changed up my workouts a bit in the last few months and thought I’d share.

Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday weekend!

I love the app too! I just have a regular old school rope but I still get a great workout. Good to hear you love the ropes!

All of the ones I have done are either just jump rope intervals or jump rope and bodyweight exercises like jump squats, drop squats, burpees, pushups, mountain climbers.

I'm loving the Crossrope also and it's worth the price to me. So much fun! Love their app and also the Jump Rope Dudes YouTube videos. I use the Crossrope mat while jumping - it's also expensive, but nice and thick, works great. Been using Crossrope almost every day for over a year and I have experienced no knee issues (I'm 65).

I'm using the free version of the app. I have been so tempted to get a jump mat. Good to hear how much you love it, Donatella!

Frostyjan, did you have any knee issues before you started jumping rope?

ETA - nevermind, just saw your post about bullet proof knees . This gives me hope that maybe I can use jumping rope as a fun cardio alternative. I have a weighted jump rope, but not a mat.

Donatella, have you ever experienced knee issues prior to jumping rope?

Thanks for mentioning the Jump Rope Dudes channel. I look forward to checking out their content!

rope vs no rope

Hello everyone

Is there much of a difference between jumping with a rope and without? I can't use a rope - coordination :-) and ceiling height. But can jump with a weighted rope handle till the cows come home!!
No problem with jumps/jump height etc.

So does having the rope make such a big difference? I can see how the coordination would be challenge.

Thanks so much for your input!
