A quick fly by, back to chat tomorrow. We came home today as it’s supposed to be wet & windy all weekend. I won’t complain because we’ve needed rain so badly.

Yesterday’s workouts:
~8 km walk….May have overdone it a bit
~PT exercises

Today’s workouts:
~PT exercises
~Strapless in 10: Day 9 - this started with standing weight work, then to the floor for some planks & push-ups. I did modify.
~Jessica Valant: 10 min Pilates for Back Pain (YT)
~Yin forward bends, twists, hip openers on my own

Pat - Congrats on the new addition to your family, he is adorable!

Waves to all!

Good morning and TGIF! Yesterday's accomplishments:

~ Ellen's Upper Body Blast download
~ Evening walk around neighborhood
~ Kassandra 10 Minute Yoga in Bed plus chakra affirmations meditation
~ 6,500 steps for the day

I saw a wild turkey meandering around in my neighborhood on my walk. For some reason my town has a lot of roaming first year turkeys this year.

Thank you all for the congratulations! We're all over the moon.

Deep Stretch Yin Yoga with Mimi Solaire (Leg & Hip practice)

Beth, I hope you like your DVDs from the book sale.

Pat, how funny to see a wild turkey in your neighborhood!

I'm waving to everyone!

Happy Friday!

- Ellen Barrett Abs & Arms - I find holding weights for the entire class too much for my cranky shoulder, so I just wore my 1/2 lb wrist weights and that felt just the right resistance for me. I did add in extra weights for a couple of the exercises.
- Yoga with Olga for Sacrum Stability. This was quite nice and it wasn't too long. I agree Beth that were it longer, it could get a bit dry. I'm not overly fond of voice overs.
- Yoga Ranger Strength & Stretch for Weak Glutes

Pat - Cool that you saw a wild turkey out for a walk. Are wild turkeys only generally found on the east coast?

I'm going to have to grit my teeth and get into a whole load of gardening this weekend. I'll be so happy to move somewhere with a smaller garden. It just seems so hard to find the perfect house, especially with the way the market is at the moment.

Wishing everyone a lovely weekend.

Margot, that Yoga Ranger practice looked nice & I haven't done one with Aprille in awhile, so I added to my Wish List. I prefer live to VO too, although I'm a little more tolerate of VO in yoga (versus cardio or strength).

Paine, the DVDs purchases were pretty low risk since they were only $1 each; if I don't like, I'll re-donate.

Pat, I love seeing wild turkeys! There's a spot I used to see them a lot on my drive to work, right off the expressway. I hadn't seen them there in several years but just did a few weeks ago.

Sandra, we've had a number of home projects that DH has wound up enhancing to make them work better. I hope your daybed works for you, if only for awhile.

Pam, hope your hip continues to progress with all the rehab you are doing.

Sending thoughts out to cyana, Garrie, Linda, Carolyn, Karen Jo, and anyone else I've forgotten - hope everyone's Friday has at least some semblance of a TGIF feeling!

Today’s workout:
~BellyFit Shakti Warrior: Power Up - I love these 20 minute ones!
~Jenny Ford MAA: Utah - kept this very low impact
~PT exercises
~Strapless in 10: Day 10 - I’m done! This one was more standing than mat, had push-ups and planks near the end which were doable with minor mods. I would do the series again, love the 10 minute length for an easy add on. The wrist-y parts were either quite short or easy to modify if needed.
~Gentle yoga class on zoom

Pat - Love the turkey picture!

Margot - Good luck with the gardening!

Beth - Enjoy your new workouts!

Waves to all!

Good morning! Happy Saturday! Yesterday featured:

~ Kassandra 10 Minute Morning Wake Up plus morning affirmations
~ Margaret Richard Good For You segment 3
~ 4,000 steps for the day

I've GOT to get to the gym this week - didn't go at all last week.

Seamus is going home today. He had to spend a night in the hospital for jaundice, he needed some time under the bilirubin lights. His mom and her siblings all had that, he'll be fine in no time! I hope his mom made sure to get a good night's sleep.

Pam, thank you for reporting on the Strapless series. I saw another interesting DailyOm - chair yoga.

Beth, aren't the wild turkeys so unusual looking? I love they stately way they move, and then suddenly they go running like mad.

Margot, I bookmarked that Yoga Range glutes routine, thank you. Wrist weights sound much more ergonomic for those types of workouts.

Waves to Paine, Sandra, Cyana and anyone who visits.

Good morning!

Pat - So happy to hear that wee Seamus is home with his family! That chair yoga course sounds interesting. Are you thinking of doing it? If so I’m curious to hear your review. I’ve been incorporating a few chair stretches at the end of my all standing/barre Essentrics classes. I’m always looking for new ideas.

Today is a rest day from formal exercise. I went to 2 markets and have been doing house chores and food prep for the week. Our Whole Foods had some JSPs, yay!

Pat, it's such a precious time for the family when a newborn baby comes home.

Today’s workouts:
~Cardio: Body Groove Swing 15 min & 10 min very gentle rebounding
~PT exercises
~Essentrics: 25 min standing, another of my friend & fellow instructor’s classes that I’ve saved.
~Barre3: 30 min Mindful Workout - This was nice, on the gentle side, a toning & stretch combo with a focus on flowing with breath. I’ve been missing B3.

Paine - Another functional fitness day for you, glad you found your JSPs!

Waves to all!
