Question O/T: Sturdy, washable grocery bags?

Can anyone recommend any sturdy, washable fabric grocery bags? Ones that are strong and with good handles?

TIA!

I just bought these:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Haven't had a chance to use them too much yet, but they're very sturdy, more like a collapsable box than a bag. They definitely hold a lot too.

Not machine washable, just spot clean.

I bought these in December 2017 and have loved them since. They are like new, still. Easy to wash: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000WA7XPI

Years ago, a friend gave me a set of Envirosax. They’re still going strong, hold a lot, have great handles (can also fit over the shoulder), and roll up really small with their own self-contained snap, meaning I can keep one in my purse all the time. I have the rest in my glovebox...if you buy a set, it comes with a little bag the rolled up bags store in.

I have to be honest that I didn’t think this was such an awesome gift when I received it, because I get canvas and other bags all the time, so had an endless supply of shopping bags, but I forget those bags at home or in my car...or I get frustrated because they take up space in my car. Turns out this is one of the most thoughtful and useful gifts I’ve ever received. And yep, I just throw them in the wash. Here’s a link to the business...you can also get them on Amazon: https://envirosax.com/graphic-series-bags/. Amazon (for a set): https://www.amazon.com/Envirosax-TT-...web_2591343011

I have considered getting a couple more and the LOQI brand caught my eye...I’m so tempted, but will be disappointed if they aren’t as nice as the Envirosax...has anybody tried these? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...I5ON2G1H&psc=1

Wow, this is a blast from the past. These kind of bags were in routine use by literally everyone when I lived in Europe 50 years ago as a child. Environmentally friendly, washable, easy to use and cheap. I forgot about these but should look into getting them now. Thanks for the link!

I just get mine from Trader Joe's. Have had the teal colored one for many years.

thanks for these ideas.

our city has had a law regarding plastic bags from stores since 2015. the amended law is all stores must charge 15¢/bag. as such, people are behooved to bring their own.

some of the reusable biodegradable ones crumble after so many years, even if they're kept out of the sun.

I don’t exclusively use these since they are expensive but I love the shoppers from BlueQ.com. I can’t post a link right now.
They are very sturdy coated fabric or canvas I think. I don’t think you can throw them in a washer but I wipe them down if they get dirty inside.
I got most of mine when they reduced the price when they discontinued a pattern. I also have one of their handy totes and more of the shoulder totesthan I care to admit. I am kind of addicted to them.

ETA: Some of BlueQ products have text that contains profanity, although not on the shopping bags. Just a warning.

ETA: Here are some links. The shoulder totes would also work for groceries.
shoppers: https://www.blueq.com/shoppers/
Shoulder totes: https://www.blueq.com/shoulder-totes/ I have the subway map, mermaid and Living the dream ones. Plus others they discontinued. I use them for everything...
I also love their zipper pouches: https://www.blueq.com/zipper-pouches/

I really like these string bags -- they stretch, are washable and very strong.
