Belgian VF'er checking in here.

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. It's been a sad, strange and hectic day but I am safe, as are all my family and friends. A few of my colleagues were supposed to fly out from Brussels airport for the Easter break this morning, but fortunately none of them were present when the attacks happened. Very close call nonetheless... For the time being my employer is having us all work from home as a precaution.

It must be nerve wracking living in Germany now with all the problems. However, from what I've read, Germany and France have better intelligence and police than the Belgians, one reason the terrorists prefer Belgium. You'd think they'd all work together since they are members of the EU.

I am not very active on here but I have been mainly reading interest threads. Yes, all the way from Belgium. Thanks for sending your prayers through this thread.

I am grateful to be safe. Also I am trying not to give into any fear knowing the bombed place was part of my journey 8 months ago.
