Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins had died at the age of 50. One of my favourite bands of all-time. He was also in Alanis ‘band.

This is absolutely horrible. I like the Foo Fighters but I became a fan of Taylor's when he recorded the late Dennis Wilson's (Beach Boys) song, "Holy Man" so that Dennis' album could be completed posthumously. His voice and manner of singing were practically identical to Dennis'. Only 50.... life is precious.

I totally forgot about that! My husband talked about it. (he was a huge Beach Boys fan and collected all the solo work) Brian May and Roger Taylor are on it also.

Now that's new to me, Sherry! I had no idea Brian May and Roger Taylor were on that album as well. You are just a wealth of music knowledge!

I know.....I am also. I feel horrible for Taylor's wife and children, and everyone in Foo Fighters.

Well this news is shocking! He was way too young! He was highlighted a bit in the Supergrass music documentary. Supergrass opened for the Foo Fighters years ago and Taylor was a huge fan of the band. He played drums for them live sometimes and seemed to thoroughly enjoy playing with them. He seemed like such a genuinely nice guy.
