Today was Chris and Edi's Build Day 6 quads and calves workout but I stopped at the calf work and added on Kaleigh Cohen's 30 minute LEG DAY workout for LEAN LEGS and stopped at the floor work.

buffmama - that's great that you're challenging yourself with heavier weights! The shooting involved my kids and the kids they grew up with (shooter and victims). Just so tragic and heartbreaking but I'm so grateful my son who was in the room where it happened came home safe.

Today's workout- KCM- Cardio Quick Fix- both workouts. I miss just plain old cardio workouts with TIFTing. The second workout on this DVD are drills, but it was still fun.

Erica- OMG, your son was in the same room as the shooter. That is awful. I hope he is okay after experiencing that. I hate that this is becoming "normal" in today's society.

buffmama- definitely give that Vera lower body workout a try. My glutes are sore today. I looked for an upper body workout to go with it and couldn't find one either. I guess I'll do Chris & Edi upper body with Vera lower body.

Hero Day 6 Legs & Core and MrandMrsMuscle Sweaty Cardio HIIT. Stayed with my heavies the whole way through.

Wendy - I'll be watching your split pairings to figure mine out.

Something I often say at work is that just because something is become more common (the norm) doesn't make it 'normal'. Dictionary definitions be d*mned.

Today was Iron Day 12 chest/triceps and part of CG's DUMBBELL DYNAMIC and ISOMETRIC Workout | 20 Min Upper Body

Wendy - my son seems okay now but I know that day is very hard for him and his twin brother (his brother wasn't there but had been close friends with two of the boys who died). It's been 11 years and I'm so grateful that his life is full and happy. And I grieve for those who didn't get that chance.

buffmama - nice job with the heavy weights.

Cardio today but couldn't handle hiit. Someone was kind enough to have a public playlist of Caroline Girvan's low impact cardio so I did Cool Cardio. That worked. I saved the playlist.

TGIF. I had a dream last night that I just simply didn't turn up for work and went on vacation instead. Not so subtle huh?!

ETA: Just took a look at Kaleigh Cohen Strength. Those look easily organized by a weeks worth of workouts and has enough repeating exercises that it should work. Erica - you've done her workouts haven't you?

Yes, I love her cycling workouts (she has a different youtube channel for that) and do some of her strength workouts but not a lot. I like that she has really good form but sometimes I don't like the order of her exercises (like she starts with smaller muscle groups first sometimes) and I wish she would say the weights she's using. But I do think they are solid workouts. If you do them I'd be interested in your thoughts. It's really cool to see her transformation over the years. When I first started doing her cycling workouts after I got injured she was thin without a lot of muscle tone but now you can really see her muscle definition.

one more thing about Kaleigh Cohen's strength workouts is that she films with her pets around. Sometimes they interfere a bit.

I haven't seen this in a while but she has young kids and sometimes they would be hanging out with her while filming in her earlier workouts. I think her daughter did a workout with her once. Very cute.

Yesterday I walked a client's dogs, so no workout other than 2 dog walks. Today I did Kayleigh Cohen's - 30 Minute Arms. This one is straight sets, so goes well with the Vera lower body workout I did earlier in the week. I added on Mr. & Mrs. Muscle- Quick Fat Burn No Repeat HIIT just for some extra movement. Thanks buffmama for introducing me to this channel!

Speaking of KC-I went through a period of doing quite a bit of her strength work and then stopped. I think that's when I started doing Caroline workouts. I do enjoy her workouts and love her goofy personality. The workout I did today allowed me to go HEAVY. Love it!

buffmama- I think your subconscious is telling you to go on vacation! Time to start planning!
